"Overpriced and very noisy."

Beautiful building and great location.

We were given rooms right next to the busy road - extremely noisy and on a bus route. The floors are very old and we were kept awake by traffic and noise from the room above. Really impossible to sleep.

A charming independent hotel with refurbished areas and delightful quirky public areas that are pristine and refreshingly diverse. Guest rooms are fine with quality beds and central control air management. Overall the hotel was quite excellent.

There are management issues that need addressing including restaurant staff training and customer service improvements. Front desk staff also need training and customer service support from management. Billing was and still is incorrect, mistakes not resolved and concerns not addressed. Very disappointed from a management perspective, not the staff’s fault but senior management team need to acknowledge and act. I’m still waiting for a response.

Great location. Largish room at the front overlooking the park (so great not to have been put at the back). Proper glasses in the bathrooms. Fresh milk in the fridge for the coffee. It is the first hotel in the UK where I have experienced this. Good coffee bags too.

When you are stood at the reception you can see into the room behind. It is untidy with boxes and a wall which needs repairing. Does not give a good impression. Either keep the door closed or do some tidying up and repairs. The main entrance to the hotel has a revolving door. Impossible to enter with suitcases. The entrance to use needs to be made clearer. Parking is £17.00 per day. A suggestion - in the shower there are three practically identical bottles of shampoo; conditioner and body lotion. Difficult to distinguish which is which so change the containers. Bedroom had a musky smell when we went in and a slight smell of the drains. Good breakfast but need to change the sausages! Not very tasty and quite dry.
