Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oklahoma City Airport

The property is not in a good area and has homeless beggars pestering you outside. The laundry had no detergent and the hotel is grubby and in need of a full refurbishment. The carpets were filthy and worn to the threads in places. We checked in at 2pm and dumped our belongings in the room. We went to look for the laundry and there was no detergent. Staff said there wouldn't be any so we were unable to wash our clothes. We went out for the afternoon and evening and on return to the hotel were pestered by beggars at the entrance. There was a strong smell of weed in the corridor and when we entered our room noticed bugs on our bedding and on the ceiling above the bed. We initially asked for fly spray but as we waited on the reception to attend the room we noticed more insects. At this point our mind was made up. We told the receptionist that we wanted a full refund and that we were checking out. She refused a refund and was at 1st going to deny us our security deposit back. She then said we would receive that back. We have had to book another hotel at our expense as there was no way we were staying in that hotel for 1 more minute. Avoid, as there is so much more choice.

The bed was very comfortable. It was clean and i felt safe in the location. It was a little loud sometimes, but overall, it was good. They could definately use some improvements on their breakfast. Pretty much just waffles and muffins. That would be my only negative feedback.

My tv did not work. Only 2 ceiling lights worked. There wasn't a trash can in the room. There was no soap bar in the bathroom.

When we got in the room. There wasn’t very many towels. I called down to the front desk to get more towels and the lady asked me why I needed more towels. There was only 1 bath towel, 2 hand towels and 1 wash clothes. When there is 2 people you need more than that. She was rude about it

Was for graduation the rooms were clean ( we had 2)staff was sweet and the hot tub was nice ( water cold ) lol for the pool didnt swim Breakfast wasnt the best plan to eat out

The hotel clean quiet but the breakfast was not good just waffles and toast and coffee juice machine was broke.so I went somewhere else for breakfast .Breakfast included was a deciding factor in my choice of where to stay

It was a pleasant experience and the staff redeemed what was a stressful situation to making it quite a pleasant stay. They also helped to accommodate and arrange an extended stay for me when an unexpected delay came up. I'm very grateful for them resolving my issues and accommodating me during what would have been quite stressful had they not offered to help out. I'm very grateful.
