Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oklahoma City Airport

The fact that on our previous trip we had to change rooms because of bed bugs and roaches. On this trip the bedding was nasty, and our vehicle got broken into and a bunch of our stuff stolen because we had to park in a "unseen area" of the parking lot. (Meaning there weren't any cameras in the area of the parking lot) When I told the jerk working that morning, he tried to make it my fault somehow. He wouldn't even look at any of the other cameras to see if it was another guest at the motel or somebody walking by in front of the motel; he just kept telling me to call the police. The area of the parking lot that we had parked in was all that was available to park as the motel was really busy. My husband is paralyzed and in a wheelchair, but we were not able to park in a handicap parking spot due to the overnight clerk parking his little car there so he can keep an eye on it. Speaking of handicapped.... I'm pretty sure that if you are going to offer services to handicapped people, then your property has to be ADA compliant. The automatic front door to the motel hasn't worked in over a month, the handicap lift for the swimming pool hasn't worked in longer than that, and the shower bench doesn't attach to the wall and slide when you try to get your handicapped loved one out of the shower. My husband was trying to come in on Saturday and the wind got a hold of the door after he struggled to get it open by himself and slammed it and shut on his face and arm. I am considering calling an attorney.

If given the choice to go back in time i wouldn't stay here. The pictures do not match the i side of the actually hotel. I reserved using hotels.com for one price and at check they charged 11 dollars more per room, a 50$ deposit and woundn't honor hotels.com pricing. The place is in serious need of some TLC throughout. The carpet in the halls were damaged. The halls smelled like cigarette smoke. Each of the rooms we had smelled funky with a different smell in each. Everything pretty much needs a good wash from the curtains down to the carpet and everything in between. The light cover in the bathroom to my room was busted and missing. The toilet continuously ran. Can't comment much about the pool/spa area because we were afraid to even use it.

My new spot to stay while in town.

Hotel needs updating overall but it was decent/on or for the price. Very close to where I was headed that evening. I had a decent night’s sleep so that is a huge plus. What I didn’t like was the smell of weed in the hallway. I smelt it in the evening going out; and the next morning the whole hallway reeked of it. Seriously intense weed smoking happening. Front desk guy was nice but I could have done without the 20 questions while waiting for the internet to reboot.

No roaches, I was definitely happy.
