Crowne Plaza Syracuse, an IHG Hotel

Nice hotel. Strange elevator setup. Beds could use an upgrade, but very clean with a nice view. Great location for downtown Syracuse.

It was impossible to get a good nights sleep from the highway right next door! Also people next to us we’re making slamming noises In the room was not as clean as it really could be Hair in shower

The young gentleman who checked us in was awesome and made the start of our short stay very welcome. We did not have a chance to experience all of the things offered but still able to enjoy our clean cozy room.

No shower curtain or shower door. After one shower, the floor is all wet with a big puddle of water, and it's impossible to close the bathroom door. There were not enough towels for 4 people. Will not stay in this hotel again.

Hotel itself was decent, clean and convenient to downtown and the Carrier Dome. Way over-priced - $459 all in is more NYC or Boston prices. I probably would have paid less if I booked farther in advance. Oh well... Front desk staff were inconsistent and disorganized in handling a busy Sat. aftrnoon check-in. In our case, they asked us to form two check-in lines. I move over to the second line. Guy checks in one guest, then takes off and leaves me standing there waiting as 2, 3, 4 guests orginally behind me get checked in. I'm never acknowledged until I am forced to butt in and ask to be checked in. Not bad or dumb people, just a lack of customer service training and consistency. They can certainly do better and it doesn't take a lot to really make a huge difference.

When we arrived 45 minutes before check in, the front desk did not ask us our names, or check to see what type of room we were staying in. They just told us that check in was at 3pm. 30 minutes later they told us our room was ready, and somehow, all of the rooms were ready at that time, and a long line began to form. If you stay here, don't expect your room to be ready, or for them to even check to see your reservation until 3pm. It was a very strange interaction, and I have never experienced this before at any other hotel.

The view from the 19th floor was impressive, the A.C. did not work very well and the room was uncomfortably hot

Overall good stay, could definitely tell they didnt clean the shower door though.

I love the rain shower heads. There were no wash cloths. there were only 2 kleenex in the dispenser when I came in. The toilet did not flush properly. I was on the side of the building which faced three spotlights from a neighboring building and the curtains did NOT close completely.

Have been staying 2-3 days a week for business. THE WHOLE TIME staff at front desk knew I was an out of town traveler working at the trauma center. Find out a month into it they give a discount (almost 50 percent) for medical staff. Refused to acknowledge error and was very rude about it. Like you got my money-here’s your bad review for TERRIBLE customer service. They even asked do I want to book again. I’d rather eat dirt.
