Quite perfect Quiet Beautiful views Fantastic breakfast

My only small gribe was the breakfast wasn’t very good and they could do with a gym. Everything else was excellent, most especially the staff!

Great location, worth the extra for a room with balcony and lake view. Easy access to all the local and lake facilities. A must is a trip on the lake, the boats leave from the Hotel doorstep. Café 22 and Wimmer's are both excellent too.

Big hotel with own private promanade overlooking the lake. Had a superior lake view room which is a must as rooms at other side of hotel overlook the main road. Disappointed in our balcony as it was concrete so had to stand up to see the lake. Not many loungers around the pool & people saved loungers with towels & then didn’t use them. Lots of loungers in a terrace overlooking the lake. Breakfast good, massive selection. Didn’t eat dinner here. One major complaint....14 Euros a day to park in hotel parking lot, which is basically a gravel park with no allocated spaces & very busy so not guaranteed a space even when paying. Drinks in hotel also very expensive which is a shame as most visitors left the hotel at night for cheaper drinks. Dress code in the bar, my husband & I were asked to leave the bar as he had shorts on.....they were very smart expensive shorts. I understand if he was scruffy dressed but certainly wasn’t. There were about 3 couples in the bar so don’t understand how they can be so choosy.

Our 3rd holiday in this hotel, perfect location, right on the lakeside, ferries directly outside the building to all parts of the lake and this time we also discovered a very good bus service with stops outside the hotel. Plenty of space for everyone to swim, sunbathe, eat/drink by the lake in the sun and also quiet, cool areas to relax and read, write or play cards etc. Good restaurants within a few minutes walk and lovely gardens only minutes away. No crowds, ideal for a peaceful relaxing holiday. First class service throughout the hotel, restaurant menus and waiter service in bars and restaurants is 5 star as is the response from reception staff to any request or query. The only slight disappointment was the fact that there are no tea making facilities in the rooms so to have an early morning or late night cup of tea on the balcony meant room service which would have felt intrusive - and expensive!

The exterior condition and gardens of the hotel are amazing. The upkeep inside is not as good with some modernisation needed. It’s a fab place for a quiet relaxing stay and you will need to travel to other parts of the lake if you want a bit of noise/music as even in summer it was very quiet and gentrified here.

The staff were excellent/location was stunning/food was very good/hotel was very clean inside and outside/so much character. We have already booked for next year - something we have never done before. The resort of Gardone was lovely and relaxed, plenty of restaurants as we went bed and breakfast and just enough shops to cater for visitors.

Booked a Superior room, however the size of room was small and noisy. Managed to change room, much bigger. Although, we were told due to the age of building bedrooms do vary, I would politely suggest, most had great views, but surely size of room and bathroom, should also be graded, whether it be a double or Superior double! Our first room was not superior!! But it was changed which was good!! Ideal location for getting around the lake by boat. Sunbathing area and pool bar etc - lovely.

Have stayed several times here as the location is great if you love lake views and access to the ferries.

Very nice hotel in a good position but needs to improve rooms windows to cut out the noise.
