Taj Malabar Resort & Spa, Cochin.

My wife and I stayed at many hotels but this is the best - beautifully located by the sea, very nice rooms, -and excellent staff. Rooms were impeccably cleaned twice per day, the food served in the two restaurants was of great quality and taste, but most important the people, the staff, made this an excellent stay for us. We would like to especially commend Elizabeth George Mokken (the Guest Relations Manager) and Kanwaljeet Singh (the Duty Manager) for making our stay very memorable - from arranging the tours, to accommodating our last minute changes to the itinerary, for taking such excellent care of us and making us feel welcomed all the time. Elizabeth also was excellent in providing us the history of the hotel, and Cochin during when we checked in, as well as during the sunset cruise. Thank you for an excellent stay.

This is a beautiful heritage property in Cochin. great food, wonderful hospitality, view of the ocean, this property has everything that makes the vacation memorable. Would highly recommend the sunset view cruise. You get to know more about the island, and soak in the beautiful view of the sea and of course learn more about Cochin. Special thanks to Abhinash at the restaurant, Akash at front desk and there was one more person who helped with our luggage whose name i don't remember. And of course. Elizabeth for being a wonderful guide for the cruise.

Super fijn hotel, heel vriendelijk personeel. We hebben heerlijk in het visrestaurant gegeten. De kamer was net en heel schoon. De gym was klein maar praktisch en ook fijn dat je daarna in de sauna kon. Het zwembad was top en je kan zelf dolfijnen zien vanaf de rand van het zwembad.

De locatie is prima, het is makkelijk om overdag met de boot naar de stad. ‘S avonds is dit was lastiger en met de taxi wel 30 minuten. Let wel op dat het naast een marine basis is, je kan niet even lekker buiten het resort lopen en je hebt geen restaurantjes. Er wordt geen alcohol geschonken na volgensmij 22.00- ook niet op een vrijdag! De hotelbar is dicht! Voor de rest waren er veel te weinig zonnebaden, slechts een aantal stuks waardoor we op stoelen moesten zitten aan het zwembad… De sluitingstijd van de Spa (sauna/jacuzzi etc.) is veel te vroeg, dit zou 22.00 of 23.00 moeten zijn.

We came for a trip to Kerela, and Kochi was the last leg of our trip. I am glad we chose Taj Malabar, we had exceptional experience at each step from arrival to checkout. Every person that we met was very professional, courteous, and greeted with a smile. Everything we experienced was 10 out of 10. I do want you to recognize the restaurant manager/Chef at Pepper. We had to catch out flight at 10am, so had to leave hotel by 7:30am. As the restaurant opens at 7:30 for breakfast, we would have missed our breakfast that day. When speaking with him over breakfast, we mentioned it to him, and he told us that most of the restaurant will be ready at 7 and made sure that his staff was aware of our early time. In addition, I do have a suggestion for the buffet at Pepper. It costs one price for everone. I believe there needs to be a different price for vegetarian people.
