Taj Malabar Resort & Spa, Cochin.

Lovely waterfront property in Kochi. The spa was excellent, and we enjoyed all meals onsite (three restaurant options). They offer high tea and a houseboat cruise each evening — a very nice touch — though it would be better if the fee were clearly communicated upfront as they didn't mention there was an additional charge until I saw it on the bill at checkout!. We booked a sunset water-view room and loved watching porpoises from our window each morning, which was spectacular!

Lovely hotel, rooms comfortable, clean and roomy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool was perfect temperature and perfectly clean. It was a pity it wasn’t in Fort Kochi but going across on the 6Rupee ferry was a great experience.

Taj Group Hotels used to be a prestigious accommodation address - the Taj Malabar appeared to be a tourist group transition point loosing the old fashion flavour....

The food and staf is amazing

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, and until I left, this five star hotel made me feel like a king! The staff was very friendly and professional.

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable two nights at the Taj Malabar in January. All the staff were friendly and very helpful - in particular Elizabeth, the Guest Relations Manager, who gave us a wonderful welcome and made sure we enjoyed our stay, and Tison, who chauffeured us on a shopping trip into town and took us to the airport for our flight home. Our balcony suite on the sixth floor was well appointed and comfortable, with amazing panoramic views of Cochin harbour. We enjoyed the dining experience, particularly a delicious final dinner in the Rice Bowl seafood restaurant.

I traveled for business and family purposes combined and the stay was terrific. The staff are exceptional and were so welcoming, especially for a couple traveling with a toddler. I cannot say enough good things about their warmth and hospitality. The hotel is full of special touches - the sunset cruise, evening dance, and lamp lighting were our favorites. The grounds were beautiful and well-cared for. And the trip into Kochi was easy. We highly recommend for business meetings (~45 people - perfect smaller hotel for that purpose) and for family trip.
