The theme, the staff, the location was all just perfect.

The bar wasn’t open long enough. That’s really it

Extremely disappointed. As a local, I’ve spent much time and money at this resort. Staff can be pleasant except when asking for basics like a blanket or a manager. Ended up double charged for two nights when I ended up canceling the following due to the amount of disrespect and hospitality. The fact I felt so uncomfortable that I couldn’t sleep in a hotel to relax so I left should say something . Zero service, except the bar. A hostile would be better to be honest .

Check in at 4pm is little late, as I couldn't even get my wife a piña colada at the pool as the bar closed at 530pm and we couldn't bring drinks in. Not the way I like to start my vacation.

Well i told roberto about a showwr curtain in my bathroom that had blood on it from a former guest and asked that it be removed and exchanged nit it never happened. It was disconcerting to shower with human blood on your shower curtain. I forstalled a shower for a couple days waiting for the shower curtain to be replaced but in the end i had no choice. Ick.

Beautiful hotel. We had a wonderful time and really enjoy the lagoon grounds, feeding the ducks and birds, and local access to the beautiful bay beaches. Pools were a bit colder than my liking… but the beach was lovely and inviting. The food and restaurant service was nothing to write home about. I was kind of bummed because prior to check in I did mention to staff that we were coming to celebrate my sons 2nd birthday, and I also mentioned when making the reservation at the Barefoot restaurant… but nothing was done to celebrate him. Not a candle or anything. It’s not the end of the world, but definitely thought it would be noted since i mentioned it twice. The room was absolutely lovely. We will definitely come back for another family vacation. Good to note that if you stay for only two days you don’t get turn down service in your room. We had to call for towels, trash pick up etc. but again, not the end of the world. Just little things that would have made a big difference. All around hotel staff was lovely and kind. We enjoyed the nature.
