Staypineapple, An Iconic Hotel, The Loop

This was a birthday treat! A lovely boutique hotel with amazing architectural highlights. Fun, perfect location literally close to everything, modern yet very traditional. Whimsical and old Europe at the same time. The kind of unique hotel that makes for memories. I'm so glad we found this spot and will be back again!!

Everything/everyone was very welcoming. The location was beyond perfect!!

Perfect location and Burnham’s building is stunning. The bed and the comforter were extremely comfy.

More food and drink options would be better

Wonderful experience. It was our wedding anniversary and they decorated the room so cute for us! The view onto State Street was perfect. The smallest downsides were no smart TV and no cable to watch in our downtime. Coffee, there is a Keurig in the room but those don't get cleaned well so I don't use them. Coffee in the lobby would be perfect.

La localisation : tout est à coté, des deux principales lignes de métro en passant par la Millenium Station. On est également juste à côté des principaux Musées et en plein milieu du quartier du loop Le design de certaines parties de l’hôtel (de ce que j’ai pu en voir)

L’établissement est en travaux (au moment de la visite, en février 2026) : donc le lobby n’est pas du tout attrayant (en fait, il n’y en a pas, tout comme le bar). Le fait de rester coincée dans l’ascenseur et que le personnel prenne cela à la légère (oui, ils ont réparé et je suis sortie mais j’ai du beaucoup appeler avant… pas vraiment d’excuse, pas vraiment de recherche d’être en contact avec moi… Ils savaient qu’ils devaient réparer). Demander des chambres en étage élevé (sinon, c’est super super brillant la nuit, l’hôtel étant une passoire thermique et phonique avec l’extérieur !!!).

Location was great for this hotel, many stores near us didn't have to walk far out to see The Bean. The room was very clean, from the bed setup to the restroom. Also, the complimentary water bottles was a nice touch.

Only few things I could really complain about would be that when we first went to drop off our bags at the hotel the staff member said he would call us to let us know that our room was ready, but they in fact did not. Another thing would be that the TVs aren't simple to use in the case that it doesn't show you the menu of the channels so you just have to scroll until you find a channel you actually would like to watch.

Location was very good for downtown. Bed and linen was very good

One of the 2 elevators not all working meant longer waits. Restaurant area being closed for refurbishments meant lobby was not very nice. Lack of room cleaning for first 2 days not acceptable.

Our room was quiet! Bed and pillows were very compfy!! Staff was pleasant and efficient. Interior was unique and interesting historically. Fantastic location and our room had a great view of State Street and Millennium Park. Overall clean environment. Room was equipped with everything we needed! The refillable water bottle and water station was a nice touch and way more convenient than hauling multiple water bottle to our room. (A cost savings too)

There were some obvious signs of wear at the property. We realized going in that it is an old building (part of the charm actually!), but some minor upkeep issues were noticeable. Some chips out of the woodwork, closet doors etc. Bathtub was pretty old and a little beat up. Mattress encasement was ripped. Also, disappointed that the restaurant was closed. Not informed until morning of check in.
