Bailbrook House

We stayed only for 1 night in the Garden family room. The pros were: comfy beds, 2 single beds in a separate room, check-in through touch pad and the rooms were very spacious. The cons were: the bathroom, carpets and some furniture were in disrepair, the rooms were dusty and a bit dingy (however bathroom and sheets were clean), the rooms were underneath the breakfast room and therefore stairs - therefore very noisy, and the communication on door codes was confusing as different codes arrived by email as per WhatsApp message. We may still return but wouldn’t recommend it to family and friends

Very clean and efficient friendly service

The staff are fantastic, incredibly friendly and attentive. The rooms are very well kept with a nice modern decor. The bathroom was on the small side, but perfectly fit for purpose with good pressure and temp balance in the shower. One of the comfiest hotel beds I've ever slept on! The food, both for evening meals and the buffet breakfast, are top notch, especially the breakfast with a very wide range to choose from, including a cooked-to-order menu. The "gym" is small and somewhat lacking. Lacks the thrills of some nearby hotels, but for the price it's absolutely perfect for a one-night business stay.

The hotel is fabulous and with ample free parking as well. The staff are very polite and friendly. Lovely place to stay.

You get what you pay for. The original hotel is very beautiful and all the pictures you will see on the travel sites show the 13 rooms that are in the main bit of the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel was extended with conference facilities that resemble a Luton Holiday Inn so if you’re paying less than £350 for your room, you’ll be in one of these rather small and dingy rooms. When we complained about our room, we were upgraded to one of the lovely rooms in the main hotel. Unfortunately, two hours later we got a phone call asking for payment for the additional cost of the room, which we had assumed was a free upgrade. Weirdly, the water coming from the cold tap was salt water and completely undrinkable, no idea why that was. the breakfast was a bit of average .

Mostly the stay was extremely nice. The TV channels had a lot of interference and so we gave up. Breakfast was lovely and our welcome at reception was warm and friendly.

We recently attended a work event at Bailbrook and stayed the night. The hotel is beautiful in a stunning setting. Perfect if you want something outside the city center, but only a short £9-12 taxi ride away. Every part of the hotel was well presented and immaculately clean, from the reception to the events space, to the bedrooms. Many members of our party who attended the event and stayed commented on how comfortable and nice the bedrooms were. Every member of staff we encountered was extremely helpful and polite. I would like to particularly praise the staff who run who event in the evening. The food was well prepared and well presented. There was also delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. We would definitely stay at Bailbrook again, and would recommend it to other parties wishing to hold events, or just wanting a hotel near Bath.

We held our annual corporate awards event at Bailbrook House in March and cannot fault the hotel. 60 people had afternoon tea upon arrival, enjoyed a champagne reception followed by a three-course meal and stayed over on bed and breakfast basis. The food was excellence, the service was professional yet friendly and the rooms were spotless. Thank you to the whole team who looked after us both during the planning phase and for our event.
