Bailbrook House

Such a lovely hotel - nice walk to Bath on a sunny day (we were lucky with the weather!) there are a few pubs to stop for a drink on the way. Overall we had a great stay - all the staff we encountered were very pleasant, especially Tom at breakfast!!

The hostess, Gema, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The grounds are beautiful!

Firstly, I’d like to say the staff were, without exception, friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and our deluxe room couldn’t be faulted. However, there is little point paying a premium price for a room if you cannot relax and get a decent nights sleep. We were kept awake until past midnight because of a group of drunken guests drinking on the bar patio directly beneath our window. To add insult to injury there was loud music too, which I’m assuming was switched on by staff! I did call reception to request the music was turned down and this was done, but I should not have had to do this. I strongly suggest the management look at installing triple glazing at least in all the rooms which are above the bar patio. Such a pity as it spoiled what was otherwise a perfect stay.

The hotel is located outside the city of Bath. It's about a 30 minute walk to the city centre, so we took a local bus. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel which is very convenient. Gems assisted us at check-in and printed out the bus schedule for us!! She was very pleasant as well as all the other staff. We were having dinner at the hotel, and she walked us to the dining room. Breakfast was delicious and made to order!! The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. There is a large car park available for those driving at no additional charge! Great stay!!

Extremely helpful staff accommodating a group of 30 cyclists on a charity ride. Provided a room for the bikes. Room and beds excellent and the food was top draw. Well done and all very good indeed. The views from the dining room are spectacular. Breakfast and evening meal superb.

Staff were great. Breakfast was the best we have had at a hotel in a long time and we would stay again. Cleanliness was excellent and bed was very comfortable. Only criticism was room we stayed in was very dark (even with light on) and not bright so it didnt give a great feel. Would stay agin if could make sure there was a brighter room.

Building itself was lovely , however the room conditions were a bit dated.

Eight of our family took lunch here (without the wains) and ate well with joy and fun. The ambience of the old manor was superior and the staff are attentive. This was parents with offspring and the usual people picking up the tab. We enjoyed a walk in the garden. We'll be back!
