GBI have stayed here before therefore I know the location is good for my work in Sheffield. Overall the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the hotel quiet.
On the first night I found a used sticking plaster on the side of the sofa cushion, I didn't have time to wait at reception to report it so out of curiosity I put it on the floor next to the sofa. It was missed on the room service and still in place when I returned after work. Again when I went to reception, there was a long queue. The drain plug on the sink broke on the second day, it had been working so I can only assume it was done by the cleaning staff. The plug was jammed in place and I was unable to drain the sink. When I pointed all of the above out of check out, I was told that I should have brought the sticking plaster to their attention straight away so they could have dealt with it. I would suggest that it should have been found by the staff on both occasions. As for the sink, it was my last night and I frankly couldn't be bothered so I just cleaned my teeth etc whilst in the shower.

The room was quite tired, carpet needs replacing and quite tatty, also the fact the toilet is on its own and you have to walk to the bathroom to wash your hands, old fashioned.

Dirty carpet in room, grubby window, dark room with little natural light, sofa falling apart, air conditioning not working, limited breakfast.

GBMiserable experience in dark room facing a wall. Asked to change and got short shrift as they were ‘very busy’. Am an All Accor gold member, would have expected a bit more hospitality. Or at least a better answer than just ‘no’. Got given a QR code to give feedback on reception staff which doesn’t work & I suspect as they don’t actually want you to give feedback.
