Had a super room shame the bed was 2 singles pushed together

A Holiday Inn with a posh restaurant...the hotel is tored, boring, trading on its name and location only......time for ot to give ip pretendinv its a Crowne Plaza.....shocking

I was disappointed with my stay at Crowne Plaza Bournemouth due to the poor cleanliness and maintenance standards of the room. Upon arrival, I noticed a dried blood stain on the toilet door handle and visible handprints on the doors, which clearly indicated that the room had not been cleaned properly. In addition, the air conditioning/heating control was not working, and I was not informed of this issue during check-in. Another concern was the room door, which bangs very loudly when closing unless it is manually assisted, causing unnecessary noise and inconvenience. I reported these issues to reception; however, the response gave the impression that such housekeeping concerns are a recurring problem. While they stated they would make a note of it, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. For a hotel of this standard, guests should expect a clean, well-maintained room and proactive communication regarding known maintenance issues. Management should review the performance of the housekeeping team and address these ongoing concerns to improve the overall guest experience. Please see the attached photos for reference.

Location

Very dirty windows limited the nice view, room not clean enough - especially toilet. Stains on the bed.. when having the breakfast in the morning, my 2 year old son found a potato chips on the ground next to the table (assume from evening before) and started eating it…sticky tables..parking very challenging - concrete “bulks” around the corners not visible enough - scratched my alloys..would be great to repaint it with some contrast colour or even install some reflective element

Great location, lovely rooms and great facilities

The location is fantastic, we paid extra for an upgraded room with lounge access, the lounge was good the gentleman member of staff was really friendly but the room was the same as standard rooms just with slippers and different toiletries

The rooms need work especially the ones where you pay extra

Convenient to city centre as we were working there

Bathrooms need an update
