Emerald Beach Resort

This Hotel was Great!! The oceanfront rooms, bar on the beach and the pizzas there are sooo good!! Not high class but they make you feel welcomed. Best beach best location. Would recommend to everyone!! Also call Cleo for tour/ taxi 713- 515-5455 he goes all out for you!!

the wait for food was extremely long!!! The place was dated and overpriced! Beach lounge chairs were uncomfortable with no padding and towels were small and worn. There wasnt enough chairs for pool area and needed more umbrellas! Bathrooms were clean but needed updated & bottled water was not offered for coffee machines in the room

this resort, in what could be a lovely setting (pretty little nook near the airport with a lovely beach) is so poorly run, with unhelpful, rude staff and garbage overflowing from trash cans and littering the grounds. The food is terrible, the service is a joke ( I had a server turn away from me while I was asking a question) and in the morning when we went to sit with our coffee the restaurant deck was covered with cups, cans and forgotten clothing. The beach, which is truly the only bright spot here, is delightful until hundreds of loud drunk cruise ship passengers descend. The pillows are like bricks, although I will say the room and beds were clean, but the shower drain didn't work so while you shower you end up just standing in inches of backup water. (we had two rooms and both showers did this) Quite literally one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at.

Great location, clean beach, great value and walking distance from the airport. The airport is only open 8am-8pm. No need to worry about the airport noise.

Lots of stairs.. no elevators. Dragging heavy luggage up the stairs was an issue for many. The restaurant didn’t seem to have a system when it can to services. Wait times were long. The bartender was also a waiter. Don’t seem like they had enough staff . Place just looks like it has seen better days. Needs a refresh. That being said staff was friendly.

La ubicacion , al frente del mar, muy tranquila. El personal siempre amable, para ayudarte a conocer la isla. Las instalaciones del hotel, algo basicas. Tiene un restaurante, al frente de la playa, muy agradable.

Un dia tuvimos que ir a consultar por que no habian limpiado la habitacion. Lo solucionaron rapido.

Location and beach , bar were good. All other amenities need work . Price was one of the lower on the island , so For the price it was ok. I guess if it was my resort I’d have more entertainment to get people to not want to leave to seek out other!

I will start with the positives. The beach is beautiful and the hotel sits right in it with every room getting a stunning view from their balcony. The pool was also very nice but has about 10 lounge chairs in total. The commute from the airport is about 1 min. Some people complained about the planes taking off directly overhead but that didn’t bother me and should be expected due to the location. The negatives - This is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. People say in St Thomas, they are on “ Islander Time”. That is absolutely true. Everyone moves very slowly but this was much worse than “Island time”. Restaurant- On our first day, I tried to pay my bill for over 30 minutes!! The server disappeared. I was standing at the table and asked 3 other employees who all told me they couldn’t help me and I would have to wait for my server. One day I ordered a “to-go” order. We were told 15-20 minutes. It took 92 minutes! 92! That is not a typo. We had to ask for the food 5 times. My son was crying because he was so hungry. Do not wait until you are hungry!! They are so understaffed that they don’t clean off tables. We had to clean dirty dishes off of a table just to sit down. The Room - They took the dirty towels and never replaced them with clean ones. I went back to my room on the second day and saw no towels, zero. I picked up the phone to call the front desk, doesn’t work. I call from my cell phone and sat on hold for over 10 minutes to ask for towels. An hour later, no towels. I call again. I get told they’ve been busy. 4 hours later, no towels!!! I had to go to the front desk a third time. That is completely unacceptable. I couldn’t even shower. Then they deliver a bag of towels at 8pm. I never got another towel again, for a 4 night stay!! We had to live with the towels out of the plastic bag and share them. Also, we had no hot water on the first day. They “fixed “ it but the water goes from scolding to freezing in an instant repeatedly. Very hard to shower yourself comfortably let alone children. Room cleaning is really just changing sheets. Nothing was actually cleaned. If you are lucky enough to get a pool towel, keep it for your while stay because they run out of those as well. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it which is sad because it has such potential to be great. They are just so grossly understaffed that they cannot manage any aspect of the hotel. Maybe on an off time, the service is better but this was by far the worst I’ve even experienced. I tried to leave the hotel mid stay but nothing was available.

You can walk from the airport to the resort. No need for a cab. The front desk is great. The rooms are just what you need. No real extras but all I want is a comfortable and clean room and that's what we got. The second floor has the best views from the balcony. If you have leg and back issues, request the first floor. There are no elevators. Its a has a great beach and the water is emerald color and crystal clear. I would defiantly go back, without hesitation.

The front desk directed us to a room which was already occupied lucky for us we saw the couple going in the room before we did so we avoided the awkward interaction. There was a no show and we still got a room but did not receive the celebratory champagne I requested. Overall the quality of the stay was good besides that.
