Emerald Beach Resort

We stayed here for one night on a return from BVI. Our flight was delayed so we spent most of the day here. A lot to do and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Decent price point for a working class Resort. Had a pool, Beach access, excursions from the beach or parking lot. Front desk staff friendly. But don't expect a flawless experience here. The grounds were buggy, saw at least one dead roach. We had bug bites every day. There was no handle on the outside balcony door so mosquitos get in. The building was dated and not super clean. Worst part was eating there. Breakfast is one guy in a booth serving the whole resort. Signs say it opens at 6 or 7 but actually 8 and the line gets long and stays long. Airport food prices and quality. Then in the Carribean Fusion restaurant they are woefully understaffed. The food takes forever and they forget about you. The food is bland in contrast to the name. Our waitress took my card after disappearing forever and then after 20 min I went looking for her. Then saw her provide food to a table and then check out another table and only then did she come over and tell me that she had plugged my card into the machine by the front door and walked away and when she came back my card was gone. My card was stolen and she waited over 20 min to tell me while serving other customers. I had to cancel multiple transactions as a result. Then I saw online she had given herself auto-gratuity for our table of 2 anyway. If you can eat somewhere else, do it.

We have chosen this hotel a couple of times as the last night of our holiday since it is very near the airport. Our stay in March 2026 was at the updated resort since our last time in 2012. We will definitely choose this resort again for any future visits!

Very nice room, easy to get to, on first floor, directly on beach - what could be better!

A few details - light that didn't turn on, another light missing, bathroom door that didn't really close.

I thought the bartenders down at pool during the day were rude.

Lots to do for young families at the hotel and in the bay. Easy walk from airport. Housekeeping staff very helpful. Took taxi to ferry to go to water island. That was fun! Great sunset views from every room!

Pretty worn down facilities. Worn bed. Careful if you have kids because showers get freezing then immediately scalding hot. Restaurant service slow due to lack of staff. Location not great as restaurants and tours are in charlotte Amalie and taxis get expensive at $9 per person one way. Next time we will stay closer to charlotte Amalie or other town.

They denied late checkout, food was mediocre, service slow. There is only one restaurant not two. No outside showers or changing areas. Staff were not very friendly.
