ibis Chartres Ouest Luce

This Ibis is a very acceptable place for an overnight stop when travelling through France. It is easily accessible with good parking and a friendly welcome at reception, which is open 24 hours. The rooms are very adequate, although there were no facilities for making hot drinks, nor arm chairs. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning kept the room warm. The en-suite was well fitted out with a w.c., basin, bath and a readily useable shower (not just a hand set with no wall bracket as is the case in some a French hotels). We decided to have an evening meal here, but were disappointed with the food, which was mediocre although just about acceptable as we did not want to go out again after a day travelling. Also the table service was painfully slow and many tables were left uncleared, which brought down the standard further. Breakfast was plentiful with quite a wide choice, but no cooked food. We thought the charge was bordering on expensive. Nevertheless, we would be happy to stay here again when passing this way and needed a bed for the night, but would probably go out for supper.

Good location travelling through France. Just 4 hours from Calais. Service good , staff excellent

Excellent stay, breakfast and dinner were excellent. good route to visit the cathedral and close to a big supermarket (2-300 meters) where you can fin anyhting and refuel with gasoline your car. 15 mn by car from cathedral including parking. excellent and quite area, closed parking.

Excellent hotel, conveniently located close to Chartres center. Gigantic mall/supermarket two blocks away. Very friendly staff, always eager to be of service. Would gladly stay there again.

Convenient, clean and comfortable, perfect for stop over on a long trip

After a long journey on the hottest day of the year we were grateful for the free cool drink in reception. Formalities were quickly over and we found our room to be very comfortable, cool and quiet. We ate in the Brasserie and although there was limited choice on the Prix Fix menu what we ordered from it was well presented and tasty and the portion size was adequate. A la carte is available if required but drinks at the bar were expensive we thought. Our room on the ground floor was very quiet and we had a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed in quality bed linen. The shower (over the bath) was powerful and the hairdryer worked fine. One little niggle was that there were no tissues in the room so if you stay here & you sneeze a lot then bring your own! We did not stay for breakfast as we had an early start. We would use this Hotel again.

Good overnight stay, glad carpark was secure because there is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage to move ask for ground floor.

This is a very well staffed and run hotel.Every time we leave I look round and say it's amazing that there were so many people staying when i see the cars parked,because it is always so quiet,and the beds guarantee a good nights sleep.This time the service in the restaurant was particularly good.We always use this hotel when coming to or going from our house in the very south of France,and we have never been disappointed yet.
