Blue Orchids Beach Hotel

Our 2nd time at Blue Orchid. Was allocated room D206. The room was fine but road noise really bad. Changed to C block & much better. Reception staff were really helpful. The rooms are very clean but do need a good coat of paint. Location is great. Loads of places to eat nearby. We loved Park cafe & Lemongrass Express. Tiki bar, Champers to name a few. Lovely pool area and amazing beach. Hope to come back one day & will definatley stay in same place.

The worse hotel we have have ever been too. The elevator didn’t work so we had to drag our suitcases up four flights of stairs. The ground floor room offered instead did not have much of a view and felt tucked in a corner but we were told it’s an “upgrade” to the higher floor. The front desk person was beyond rude and unwelcoming. She did not walk us to any of the rooms were offered. Instead passed the keys and pointed the way which was unfamiliar to us and not accessibility friendly. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction, she thought it best to argue with us. No apologies were given. The bed is not well set up. It has the flattest pillows and “king” bed of two twin bed pushed together. The bathroom toilet is super noisy after being flushed. The kitchenette is poorly done as well with shabby looking appliances. The overall infrastructure is deteriorating. We give this 0/5 stars. Would not recommend. The worst customer service and overall experience ever. Not worth the listed price. Do not book here.

We had a nice time here. The facility could use an upgrade but it is a clear 3 star hotel. Seats on the beach were in short supply. We mentioned it and were told that we could have asked for more...who knew? Overall, I would go back for a short stay.

We have just returned from two and a half weeks stay at Blue orchid/Coral mist. This was our first time staying in this location and first self catering holiday in Barbados, we usually do all inclusive hotels. Blue orchid does not have glitz and glamour, what is does have is real Bajan charm and warm hospitality from every single member of staff we came into contact with. Many guests return time and time again which speaks for itself. Located on a sandy stretch of beach with beach beds and umbrellas for guest to enjoy along with 2 small swimming pools to lazy away your days. The apartments and suites are serviced daily by the splendid housekeeping team and are fully equipped if you want to cook a snack or a meal. There are plenty of places close by to eat out and a large supermarket, bank, bakery and duty free department store close by. My only negative comment would be that the onsite restaurant, which is not actually run by the hotel, has the exact same limited menu every single day, sad because the food is good but it lacks something which would make you want to eat on site in the evenings perhaps it could have an occasional happy hour to get guests interested.

We loved it. Clean basic accommodation, pretty green garden/courtyard and pool and lounging area. Directly on beautiful Worthing beach. All rooms have wonderful balconies with an ocean view. Kitchenette was convenient. Friendly helpful staff, great location and value. Lots of food options nearby. Public transport stop is just outside hotel. Blue Orchid and Coral Mist while technically separate properties, are essentially two wings of the same hotel.

Lovely hotel great position on the beach staff very efficient and friendly,the only thing I would warn people of is the surf on the beach,the waves are very big and there is also an undertow that could be dangerous if you were not a very strong swimmer..Enjoy but please take care don't worry because there are two very nice pools and beaches to the east without so much swell..

What a wonderful stay on south coast Barbados. Blue Orchids staff were so friendly and helpful, I felt I had known them my while life. The property is just as described, maybe even better! Grounds beautifully kept, pools warm and clean, sunsets views, relaxed atmosphere. Stay here, you won't regret it.

Staff friendly. Good facilities. Excellent beach front rooms.
