Blue Orchids Beach Hotel

The staff at Blue Orchids are kind and accommodating. Lovely people. The location is great for immediate beach access and transportation to other beaches on the island. The location is also close to lots of places to eat, all walkable. Thank you for a wonderful holiday - we hope to see you again in the not to distant future!

Better than expected for the price. Clean and comfortable and wonderful beach and pools.

My partner and I had a great time at Blue Orchids for my birthday. The staff were friendly and accommodated our late check-in. Property is in in need of updating, fixtures and decor are old for sure. But the beach front location and proximity to bars/lounges, Accra Beach, Rockley beach and less than 20 mins to Carlisle Bay and Oistins for fish fry, was perfect. It’s great if you have a car to move about (their small parking lot is a nightmare ) but a lot is also within walking distance. Would stay again.

Everything was fabulous but the bathroom could do with some updating

Very nice property. Had a nice kitchenette in the room and it was very useful when we got stuck during hurricane Beryl.

The hotel is conveniently situated about halfway between the airport and B’Town. Plenty of great dining options and shops within walking distance! Beautiful spacious room with exceptional view! Super friendly staff! Awesome private beach! Great price for great value! And thee best rum punch I’ve ever had!

The Property is conveniently located on the main route into Bridgetown, however parking onsite is severely limited and quite inconvenient. You must have a very small vehicle to be able to fit into the few parking spots available, which thankfully, we had! The one-bedroom apartment is a reasonable size and the view of the ocean from the porch is beautiful, and breathtaking. We were there for just a weekend, and there were sufficient kitchen utensils to meet our needs, mainly for breakfast. The living room is not air conditioned, so unless you decide to keep the porch door open for natural sea breezes, it can become quite warm. The bedroom is airconditioned, thankfully, but our AC unit leaked water for the duration of our stay, despite the housekeeping team "repairing" it after the first report. The property is very well appointed but a bit dated and an investment should be made in updating and upgrading. The staff were polite, courteous and helpful.

The location of this hotel is perfect- beautiful beach, with a supermarket, Worthing food court (delicious food) and St Lawrence Gap all within walking distance. You can also walk to the boardwalk for a nice evening stroll along the coast. Easy to get a Z bus to Oistens and parking is available for a hire car. The hotel is joined with the coral mist, more like one big hotel to be honest. You can use either pool which were clean, well maintained and sun beds always available, towels were also provided. We didn’t use the restaurant so cannot comment on that- the food in Barbados is delicious and plentiful but be prepared that it is more expensive than the UK. Our room had an amazing view and was cleaned to a high standard each day. It was well equipped and the beds were super comfortable. AC worked a treat. The shower could do with being replaced but it wasn’t an issue, worked well. The beach is simply beautiful, you can walk quite a way down with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The sea is crystal clear, we did lots of snorkelling and saw lots of fish and even turtles. We went to a few other beaches during our stay and I found Worthing beach to be the best. The staff were all friendly at the hotel, there is a security guard 24/7 which makes you feel safe. We were never hassled on the beach and the grounds of the hotel were maintained daily. This hotel is great value for money. The managers cocktail party once a week is a lovely addition, with complimentary rum punch, fishcakes and music. The road outside the hotel is busy at times and can be a bit noisy, but not enough that it bothered us. Barbados is a beautiful country, make sure you get out and about.
