Crowne Plaza Glasgow by IHG

Location was okay but Uber drivers could not find the hotel entrance for some strange reason! I was late for work every day during my stay at the Hotel due to being picked up late!

1. Housekeeping: Used dirty cups were not picked up by the housekeeping staff; then they left no clean cups. I had to request clean cups. Took over 30 minutes to get clean cups. Housekeeper came without teaspoons so another 15 minutes wait! 2. Food: the worst Curry I have ever had if indeed you can call it food. More like tinned dog meat which I wouldn’t feed to my dog! 3. Restaurant service: diabolical! Had to get up to ask if I will get served. No water provided and no one came to ask if I needed a drink whilst I was waiting for my food. 4. Room upgrade: this was about the only positive thing I experienced. 5. Room telephone not working so you couldn’t phone down to Reception. 6. One of the hotel lifts was not working due to renovation, but at least I knew about this. The remaining two lifts were slow and kept getting stuck on each floor. I would not go back to The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow nor would I recommended it to anyone who has expectations about good hotel standards and customer service.

Clean

There was too much noise as early as 6am . We checked in around 2am in the morning,very unfortunate enough at 6 am could hear too much noise doors banging, staff talking on top of their voices and laughing. At around 9am the noise even got worse mybe because our room was opposite the domestic room where they keep the cleaning staff, so the staff had stated using the room and cleaning other rooms . We had to wake up and check what is going on in the corridors because the noise was so unbearable. We wanted to rest, peace and comfort and unfortunately we didn’t get that , started getting ready and left before the check out time. We so disappointed and feel sorry for ourselves.

We loved our stay and will definitely return

The pool area could use a little update but was enjoyable

The location was brilliant

We booked the lounge section but it was over crowded no staff to monitor this, no drinks left, no food or plates to enjoy the food. Thought it would be so much better as it was recommended by your staff member after booking and paid extra for it 1 dressing gown in the room. No flannel in the bathroom. Had to ask for the mini bar to be filled up as it was empty

Das Zimmer war schön groß und die Betten gemütlich.

Es werden seit einem Jahr die Fahrstühle renoviert. Zumindest im fünften Stock denkt man, dass laut Walgesänge abgespielt werden. In echt handelt es sich um die zusätzlich eingebauten Fahrstühle, die merkwürdig quietschen... Die ganze Nacht. Man kann nur mit Ohrstöpseln schlafen. Für das runterfahren insbesondere mit Gepäck sollte man auch etwas mehr Zeit einplanen.

Staff were lovely.

The property was tired. The shower handles kept falling off. Lack of power points. Electric jug had to be plugged in beside the bed. We paid a premium price for just ok facilities
