L'Auberge De Sedona

Came in for breakfast twice and had a great experience. The chilaquiles were really good, the service was friendly and everything came out quick. Keith took care of me the first day and Cheyanne the second day and they both were so accommodating to my dairy allergy. :)

The room was way overpriced. The furniture felt very cheap for a 5 star hotel.

The resort itself is beautiful, but the service fell far short. Check-in was inflexible-we were made to wait until exactly 16:00 despite arriving early and checking multiple times. Not a great impression for a premium resort. The biggest issue was our confirmed cabana booking. We received multiple confirmations, but on the morning of we were called and told it was no longer available because the VIP cabins guests had taken priority. That’s unacceptable. We were offered an alternative area and a $100 credit, but it was not reserved as promised, we received little service, and had to repeatedly ask other guests to leave the space. It was uncomfortable and far from relaxing. After a few hours, we left early expecting some kind of compensation, but were instead given a $300 bill- and no apology at check out. Overall the resort appears understaffed and poorly managed. Confirmation reservations clearly don’t guarantee anything here. Very disappointing for the price paid. My wife even filled out the survey sent after the stay with the same complaints as above but with more detail and as expected no response after a week that is why I am writing this review.

The town of Sedona is truly incredible, incredibly visually stunning. The hotel, or actually the "motel", leaves much to be desired. Starting with staying at the "cliffs" the experience for an expensive property was beyond poor. It is essentially a motel with 3 floors and doors opening to the street level. The poor build quality of the structure allows you to hear literally EVERYTHING from your neighbors on all sides including those above and below you if you are lucky enough to be in the middle floor; which is where we all stayed (5 total rooms). For the value you are better off in a Holiday Inn Express type of product and save the $500 per night. The worst part of our stay was dinner at Cress; the food was good but the service is better at a $12-15 buffet anywhere in the world. Took an hour to deliver dinner significantly undercooked and overpriced, 38 minutes "we timed it" because it became laughable, from clearing of dinner plates and asking for desert menus for them to show up. The best part is waiting 10 minutes to share the experience with the "manager" who showed up and offered to assist with breakfast in the morning. Stay at Enchantment and stomach the 3 night minimum. Truly incredibly poor overall for a L'Auberge property and none of the five us will ever be returning.

We had a lovely stay in room 1 by the creek. There was a bit of an issue with the property's 24 hr musac loop keeping us awake the first night, but it was resolved immediately to our satisfaction. The staff at L' Auberge are very welcoming and eager to please. All of them really helped to enhance our experience at the resort. We want to extend special thanks to Cheyenne at Cress restaurant for her friendly and superior service. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meals. We look forward to when we can return to the tranquil beauty and exceptional staff at L'Auberge de Sedona. :)**

We just got back from celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at L’Auberge de Sedona, and WOW! What an unforgettable experience. Cheyenne made every breakfast feel like a celebration with her warm personality and above and beyond service. Sylvia at the front desk was a true gem, offering thoughtful recommendations and making sure we squeezed every bit of joy out of our stay. She deserves a special shout-out for her exceptional customer care. The general manager was equally impressive. He was gracious, kind, and always present. He even personally drove us in a golf cart after we enjoyed a little too much breakfast. Talk about hospitality! From valet to housekeeping, every staff member was outstanding. Housekeeping responded within minutes to anything we needed. And the food at Cress on Oak Creek? Absolutely incredible. The views alone are worth the trip, but the food takes it to another level. If six stars were an option, we’d give them. We can’t recommend this place enough.

A four star experience at a 5 star price. I asked hotel for assistance with dinner reservations and they never followed up with me for the request. The property leaves a lot to be desired when paying~1200 a night.

This was a tough one. It was a very strange experience to say the least. Some great, some not so great. We really wanted to love this resort, but unfortunately it fell short of expectations in the end. For all of the other reviews that have comments about their experience with "The Cliffs", we had the same feeling. Our Jr. Suite was not a suite but a room with a slightly larger closet. The views were breathtaking and the furnishings were very nice, but there were also issues like the room smelling of bleach, people smoking, and the fact that it opened out onto a public parking lot were definitely downers considering how much we spent on the room. Luckily the front desk was kind enough to move us out of our first Cliffs room and into a Creekside Cottage. The grounds down by the creek are amazing and very tranquil and feels very high end. On the surface the cottage room was very nice, but unfortunately we ran into many issues during our weeklong stay. The engineering team was our BFF, as they visited us 5 times. The plumbing had issues, the smoke alarm woke us up late at night (it was dying), and the temperature sensor on the thermostat malfunctioned and we woke up sweating profusely when it was set to 69 degrees...and blowing hot air. To be fair, the staff was very understanding and accommodating. Thankfully they did their best to make it right in the end, which was greatly appreciated. In all, the staff was very kind and I wanted to give a shout out to Celene and Sylvia as they were super sweet and thoughtful. Our dinner and breakfast at Cress was excellent and the service was very good. The Duck Pond pool was very nice and you cannot beat the views. In summary, I think that living up to the L'Auberge name, coupled with the extremely high prices, has proven a very tough task for this resort to meet guests' lofty expectations.
