While the new amenities are fantastic, this property is nowhere near a 5 star experience. It may be 3 at best. The front desk is an insane, unorganized mess. I was put in a different room than booked, and on a different floor than requested. The "new" cliffside rooms are not worth the cost. The view is great, but the noise is unbearable. The walls and floors/ceilings are so thin you can hear everything. With people getting up at 5am to hike, no part of our stay was relaxing. The AC unit literally sounds like a jet taking off. I've never heard anything like it, and we travel a lot. People, including staff, congregate in the outdoor hallways and you can hear every conversation. Our booking was supposed to include breakfast, but we were told upon check in to use room service because the restaurant was booked solid for the next WEEK! What? We were able to eat on the deck the first morning (by the way, the restaurant was basically empty at 10am), tried to order room service the second day and couldn't even get through to the front desk to order. How is there not a direct line to the restaurant?? Fortunately, our room was ready upon check in, but we had to wait in a line 10 people deep for our keys. 8 of the 10 people were furious because their rooms weren't ready (4:30pm). The front desk was handing out free drinks like candy. It was so unorganized. The ($45 per day) valet at the Cliffside lot twice told me "your car is parked right over there" and handed me the keys. They were referring to the parking lot next door. The shining star of the property is clearly the new cliffside pool. The girls/team there were working their behinds off to keep everyone fed and happy. They were clearly understaffed. Again, I was unable to check out in person and had to just leave the room keys at the front desk because there were at least 12 people in line. The line at the front desk was down the hallway with people complaining. The prices at this hotel are crazy based on the level of service and rooms. My bill is wrong and I'm still unable to get any reply or help to fix it. We booked this hotel through AMEX FHR and AMEX should strongly reconsider this "resort" to be part of that portfolio.

My experience at L'Auberge de Sedona was amazing. We celebrated our anniversary there, and the atmosphere did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We dinner at Cress on Oak Creek and had one of the most delicious and romantic dinners. The property itself is breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for a special occasion. We also enjoyed a couples massage and left feeling relaxed. My only suggestion would be to upgrade some of the spa furniture, as the chairs were not very comfortable.

Context - stayed here during 2026 Spring Break in a Cliffs room. First, the positives: the room and the Cliffs view was as depicted online. Also, dinner at Cress was amazing. The resort is quite nice if you’re staying down in the resort. However, how the resort has incorporated the Cliffs into the rest of the property was a missed opportunity. For reference, the Cliffs was an adjacent motel that was purchased by the resort somewhat recently. While the room renovations are nice, it still very much feels like a motel. 1.) you’re sent away from the main resort and have to drive to it and it’s separate parking lot and valet. All the valet does is park it in front of motel - not even needed. 2.) you’re behind a restaurant and shopping center, so ugly views and noise when you walk out your door. Public walking all around. 3.) no elevator to second floor of Cliffs so you and the valet are carrying bags up the stairs. 4.) if/when you go down to tue rest of the resort, it’s 183 stair-steps each way! In short, the Cliffs doesn’t feel at all like it’s part of the resort, and at $1000/night that’s a big problem. Other issues: 1.) when I texted customer service about my frustration, they said a manager would call me - never happened. 2.) the chocolates in our room were eaten - empty box. 3.) the amenities replacement staff burst into our room after waiting 2 seconds after knocking; I was on the way to the door when they just came on in. 4.) TV volume is limited to 20 - can barely hear. Overall, I wanted to like this place, and I’m sure of you stay in the even more expensive rooms inside the resort it’s a better experience. However, I would not return and would stay at a different resort. Don’t book a Cliffs room! Overpriced motel pretending to be a resort.

The location and atmosphere is amazing, but it is way overpriced for the level of service that we received. They provide car service in town because it’s difficult to walk from the hotel. Don’t eat there for breakfast!

The “private balcony” wasn’t private, it was a walk-way. This was highly disappointing. The front desk wasn’t able to offer us any other room with a cliff view so our experience as not as we planned.

Charges like a Luxury Spa, delivers a Family Destination experience. Screaming children in the spa area included. The management needs to review their mission and then deliver that in advertising and deed.

Terrific location in Uptown. Hotel on a cliff means a lot of stairs! Great restaurant on the creek and wonderful amenities and views.

lots of small misses - long wait with little explanation when at the front desk despite several team members onlooking; waiter failing to mention restaurant ran out of syrup until after pancake and French toast dish arrives; room service not arriving by 2pm and then only coming after inquiring; door lock not quite operating correctly; room service not replacing coffee pods or used glass; $10 latte comes lukewarm; food order somehow misplaced and wait time extended; it goes on and on. Amazing location and spectacular setting, and resort amenities are very nice. But at this price there should not be a laundry list of small frustrations - maybe one or max two but as you can see L’Auberge gave many many such little frustrations. Would not recommend.

While this hotel has a nice location on the creek near downtown Sedona and it is pretty to walk through, it has many limitations that guests should be aware of. It is on the side of a mountain, so you will be climbing a lot of stairs, and it is in a dark canyon. The hotel itself is quite old and although the rooms (at least the ones we were in) are newly remodeled, many are in old cottages and old two-story buildings where you have the privilege of listening to neighboring guests above and beside you. There is an exorbitant resort fee of 10% of your stay, which is purportedly to compensate employees and cover tips, along with a couple of meditation classes and a car service that I never saw anyone use. This is really just a way to add fees to an already expensive stay that should surely allow them to pay their employees without having to mandate tips. If the service is on point, those come naturally. The spa is truly boutique in size & I encourage you to inquire about the actual amenities. It is a small, tired building that has been retrofitted to serve as a spa. Quite uncomfortable lounge space, minimal locker rooms - that truly feel like locker rooms-but the pool is nice. If a luxury resort experience is what you are after, there are ‘Enchanting’ places nearby that better meet this expectation.

The Cliffs are a rip off. Not connected to the main campus unless you want to go down or up 150 steps. Transportation takes to loo long, even if you are going to the lobby, restaurant, fitness center, or the spa. I was unable to watch the UConn / Duke game for whatever reason.
