"My stay was a major disappointment ending up being overcharged and checking out after the first day."

Breakfast was nice except the pepper lid fell of onto my eggs but the GM brought me replacement eggs. Otherwise, it was a wonderful breakfast. The table smelled 'sour' from the obvious dirty rag they cleaned it with. I asked for a fresh wet rag to clean it off.

Hotel assured me that the booking.com earlier booking was cancel on time before I agreed to change date a week later. Desk assistant even printed out a zero balance from the Dec 25th visit in order to rebook on 29th. General Manager would do nothing to correct it because she did not book. the 25th. I CHECKED OUT a day early because it could not get resolved. Booking.com NEVER cancelled my first stay as the desk girl assured me. $363.78 charge

The property is visually appealing, clean w a look of sophistication inside and out. We were greeted cheerfully as we entered by a wonderful young lady that helped us w our dinner for the first night. Every member of the staff even the gentleman on his first day was professional, attentive and Chanell Chalmers is very knowledgeable she assisted us and other guests w our every need she also helped us w things to do in the area. We mentioned that we were there for our Anniversary and she informed us about the different packages The Burgundy Hotel offer for several occasions Anniversary, Valentine & the Lovers package. I am a Lysol Spray and Wipe Guest its a must do and I cleaned like always and I can honestly say it wasn’t necessary our room was clean everything was in place and clean. Oh yeah, breakfast was hearty and delicious and the ambiance of the dining room look and felt like it was set up for a date night:) Great job everyone and thank you for a wonderful 4 days and 3 nights.

"So much air freshener "

The hotel staff are lovely and very helpful. The restaurant is decent but overpriced for the quality of the food. You can get much better downtown for the same price. Great bartenders though! Rooms are big and comfortable. The updates made are ok, but the paint is kind of chipping, carpet is starting to lift in places, etc. My only real issue is that the entire place is full of cheap, artificial air freshener and scented cleaning products and it’s truly awful.
