Beautiful hotel in general, although the decor in the rooms is looking slightly dated. The main reason for scoring 4 stars is the poor quality and overpriced breakfast. Our full English was dry, lacked taste and was expensive at £25 each. Also no beans or hashbrowns availiable, not sure what that's all about. Overall a very comfortable stay and we'll be back.

We had a fabulous time. Unfortunately our bed was made up as a double bed but it was soon rectified and we were upgrated to a suite so we had our twin beds. Everything about the hotel was lovely - it is very traditional with very friendly staff. The spa was fabulous and was empty when we visited. HIghly recommended and we would definitely stay again.

The staff made the stay!

Luxurious full stop. Delicious food and incredible wine. Very slightly over friendly staff who in the restaurant are a bit disorganised. The Maitre D needs to take control. Also familiarity is fine but when a customer orders another glass of wine a waiter shouldnt remark” gosh you really are an alcoholic” !! We thought it funny but others wouldnt. But the quality is great and they mean well so we had a terrific dinner and a comfortable stay.

Excellent stay, v wide choices of wine, friendly, attentive and helpful staff

Our stay went exactly as planned, from parking, checkin to dinner and breakfast, the service was top notch. The cleanliness of the room, spa facilities and dining areas were excellent.

Fantastic spa hotel with top tier service, a warm welcome, high quality services and a level of class that few manage to achieve. Room quality was high - it felt like home! Special mention to Joe - one of the best restaurant managers I have come across.
