The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta

I went to Puerto Vallarta for spring break vacation with my friends and family and had a great time at the Weston because the staff were amazing Okimy was so cool with the guacamole demonstration, I learned how to make them better now. I would recommend booking a stay here if you plan on visiting Puerto Vallarta also, the marina is really close by if you like shopping.

First time here and had a Great timme, took the Guacamole Glass with a very funny Guy. Came with my family, had a Great time

My first time in Puerto Vallarta and my Experience was amazing the hotel was excellent and had the best comfort you can ask for, from the food to the service from the pool side staff, Angel had made our stay a amazing one , the service was above any other vacation, A waiter with exceptional work ethics and values is best described as a professional server, service professional, . he is proactive, conscientious, attentive, and hospitable, the best. thank you to Angel and the Westin for a amazing vacation.

My wife and I had a great time at The Westin! All the staff was very courteous and accommodating. One of the staff members really went above and beyond the call of duty. He was always very attentive to us when we were out at the poolside or just hanging around the pool area. His name is Angel. I'm not sure what his last name is. He was always very nice to us, and was always very helpful. He gave great recommendations of places to go in Puerto Vallarta. Angel is definitely a huge asset to this hotel. Hopefully they pass on this review to him. Thank you, Westin and a big huge thanks to Angel for making our stay so wonderful!

We had an amazing time at the Westin. We were a little worried about the construction, but honestly it wasn’t too bad- sound was only during the day, and pool areas were not impacted. I think the worst part was that the gym area was moved halfway outside and some of the machines I had seen in pictures weren’t available. Pros: * Staff is incredible. From the front desk, to Antonio on the beach (great guy), the breakfast staff (shout out to the auntie making waffles and omelettes like a machine), everyone was very friendly, helpful, and made us feel comfortable and welcome. The one exception was the towel lady who was a bit brusque- but that stood out because everyone else was so great. * Breakfast was solid, with varieties of bread, fruit, omelettes/waffle station, bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal bar, green and fresh orange juice every day. We ate there every morning and didn’t get too bored. Cons: * Walls seemed pretty thin. I could hear other people using their key cards (just the clicking sound) late at night when I was in my room, and sound of other TVs and chatter in the hall. The people above us seemed to be dragging furniture around frequently which was also noisy. * The property as a whole is pretty dated and needs some renovation. We checked out the Marriott which had nicer pools (infinity pools) and seems much less run down. They also have a nice looking spa and a much larger fitness center (available for Westin guests while the construction is happening). The room seemed somewhat dated, and particularly the bathrooms could use a refresh. * The construction was a minor annoyance- a couple restaurants on site were closed.

My husband and I stayed at the Westin for 5 nights and received amazing service from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Carlos and Carla were so friendly when checked in and thanked me for my loyalty. As a platinum member they automatically upgraded us to a Sky plunge pool suite and provided us a welcome cocktail. Gabby at the pool always greeted us with a smile when we saw her to get our towels. Raefel was our waiter by the pool and always remembered our drink orders. For breakfast we were greeted by Angel and Luis, and dined with a beautiful ocean view while we ate. Yes, there was some construction noise but it was not disruptive and still maintained a peaceful setting. Puerto Vallarta is still very quiet but we walked in the marina, Versalles and downtown and felt very safe and comfortable. We will be back!

This is the second time that we’ve stayed at the Westin. It’s low key, but the reason we keep coming back is the staff. They are all so friendly and kind, and are genuinely vested in making sure that we had everything we needed. In particular, the staff at the beachside cabanas were all marvelous. Shout out to Okimey and Ephrain for this trip, and Adriana and Ephrain when we were here in November. These three people really are the reason why we come here. The beachside cabanas are wonderful - beautiful, tranquil and relaxing - and Okimey and Ephrain made sure that we had everything we needed all the time. They really made our vacation. Hotel is lovely, although a little dated. Rooms are essentially all the same, except for a few true suites and some rooms on the lower level that have their own lagoon pool. Upgraded rooms are just a higher floor. We were a bit disappointed that we couldn’t get a late checkout this time around, but there’s a comfortable hospitality suite with showers. The hotel is supposedly transitioning to an all-inclusive format, but both of our stays were à la carte. Food and beverage costs were very reasonable. We hope to return to see our friends Okimey and Ephrain in the cabanas again soon!

I’ve just checked into the Westin Resort & Spa after spending five nights at the impeccably clean Sunset Plaza Beach Resort, and the contrast is honestly shocking. The foyer is modern and stylish, but the rooms are a completely different story — dated, worn, and, most concerning, not properly cleaned. I understand that hotel rooms show wear and tear over time, but there’s simply no excuse for visible dirt. Even a quick wipe with a damp tissue lifted grime from surfaces, suggesting that housekeeping standards are not where they should be. I felt compelled to share this so future guests know what to expect and could pack a mop and bucket along with their bathing togs.

Great, relaxing resort. Eduardo's cocktail and food service poolside was spectacular!

Picked this location due to in pool bar (closed for remodel) , multiple restaurants (steakhouse on beach closed, others in hotel very poorly placed and always empty) . Breakfast was the bright spot . Pool area peaceful and nice. Ocean View from 7th floor room nice. The grounds are very well kept and tropical. . Saving grace was this hotel is near marina so plentiful choices for dinner much nicer than hotel has to offer . This property is going to all inclusive in three months . I will not be returning as I feel the value will no be there compared to many other choices here
