"Easy, Relaxing, and Exactly What We Hoped For"

10.0

After 19 years my husband and I finally took our first solo vacation since our honeymoon, and we went big with a trip to Aruba. We stayed at Divi All Inclusive and, honestly, it couldn’t have been a better choice. We were lucky enough to score one of their newly renovated rooms, and it was way above what we expected (modern, clean, and super comfortable). Even better, our room ended up being right on the beach, which was such an unexpected bonus and made the whole experience even more special. From the start, everything just felt easy. Huge shoutout to our concierge, Genesis, who made the whole trip completely stress-free. She handled all our dinner reservations (we managed to try every restaurant at both Divi and Tamarijn!) and helped set up our excursions without a single hiccup. The food, the atmosphere, the beach...everything was exactly what we needed. The pools were great, and one thing we really appreciated was that it never felt overcrowded. There was always a beach chair available, which feels like a small miracle at a resort. The grounds were beautifully kept, and every single staff member we interacted with was so genuinely pleasant. By the end of the week, we weren’t ready to leave and felt like we had actually made real connections with people we’d love to see again someday. This trip was a long time coming, and it absolutely delivered. If you’re looking for a place where you can truly relax and not worry about a thing, this is it.

"The perfect place to stay for relaxing on a beautiful beach"

10.0

Divi All Inclusive Aruba is a beautiful, clean, and quiet resort. The staff are amazingly friendly. Our ocean front rooms were on the third floor, so we had a wonderful view of the beach. The restaurants offer a variety of tasty food, even the buffet. It is, however, difficult to schedule reservations as they are only able to be made within the next two days. I was able to snag one dinner reservation for two days later by getting on the app at 1:30am! As others have noted, if you don't go out to the beach by 7:30-8:00am and reserve your chairs, you won't get one under a canopy or shade of the tree. It was irritating that many of these chairs would be reserved but the occupants wouldn't show up until later in the day or not at all. We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment. We did a jeep excursion on our last day and drove through much of Oranjestad---other areas were much busier with huge resorts, casinos, and many restaurants and clubs. We were so glad we were staying at a much quieter area!

"A simple hello would have gone a long way!"

4.0

Where it all fell short were the people... they just came across standoffish, rude and inconvenienced by us being there. Our driver from the airport to the hotel was decent - chatted with us, made some suggestions.. So it started fine. Then we got to the resort... check in was quick -but almost too quick - we were given ZERO information on anything... usually they whip out a map and show you where your room is and where the buffet is and where the bars are... here, nothing. Here is your bracelet - don't lose it or we will charge you a ton of money. Have a nice stay! Our room was fine... the bathroom was like a cave... I know they have updated many of the rooms there - ours was not one of them - but for the time spent in there, it was fine. There is a mini fridge in the room, but nothing in it. No room service offered (which I don't care, but someone reading this might be curious about that). We wandered around the property as we weren't given any information... it is not a big resort, so it was pretty easy to figure out... and because I am a review reader, I knew what I needed to do in order to make restaurant reservations. We were never greeted by any of the staff we saw... if we bellied up to the bar, we weren't acknowledged, despite having a fistful of cash in our hands at all times. When they finally did make it around to us, they would just approach and stand there... we had to greet them...  The food was fine... the buffet was different for me in that while it was a 'buffet', everything was still made to order... there were some items out for the taking, but if you wanted a burger, you ordered the burger, they gave you a pager and made it fresh. I thought that was a nice touch - eliminates everyone breathing on and touching all the food. We went to two of the sit-down restaurants (Red Parrot and Pure Lime) The food was good at Red Parrot as well as our waiter. Pure Lime was subpar except for the churro dessert. YUM! Other than live music each night, who all seemed to play the same playlist of Midwest wedding reception music (think Macarena or Cupid Shuffle) there was no entertainment. Also no activities. We saw water aerobics take place one time during our week long stay. There's one shuffle board court and a ping pong table which is useless based on the wind! The beach was nice - white powdery sand, clear water. Psycho windy at all times. Decently rough water - the fun kind, not the kill you kind of waves but also not wade around in... So, the beach was a positive thing for me... minus the wind. But without the wind it would have been sweltering hot so... chair saving is rampant here - get up early or you won't get a chair. An upside, not a single vendor on the beach! The island itself... it felt 'safe'.... we had no issues jumping on those scooters and just cruising around.. It was just very unlike other Caribbean experiences we've had... unfortunately the lack of any sort of customer service skills is enough to make us not want to visit again.

"Lack of security on beaches"

4.0

Since the beaches and palapas are public domain, guests have to compete with non paying visitors for shade and sometimes lounge chairs. Security was ineffective in patrolling the beach for those not respectful of the rules. And they are easy to spot - no resort beach towel or wristband. The cost of the wear and tear on the palapas, chairs, rinse stations, picking up and disposing of the garbage they leave behind, and possible broken glass from their beverages becomes a risk/cost to the paying guest. I’ve seen visitors wander onto the property looking for bathrooms. And before anyone thinks this is a diatribe on the “locals” it isn’t. Most of whom I’ve seen appear to be guests from no beach access rentals and the like. I appreciate the challenge this presents to the beachfront resorts. The solution, from a former physical security officer is simple. Tell your security to patrol the beach and deal with the issue instead of placating a paying guest.

"Divi Aruba All Inclusive – Beautiful Beach, But a 2.5‑Star Stay"

4.0

Divi Aruba All Inclusive – Beautiful Beach, But a 2.5‑Star Stay We visited the Divi All Inclusive for a 6‑night stay for a family wedding (group of ~60). This was our 3rd trip to Aruba but first time going all‑inclusive. After this experience, we’d stick to Aruba’s amazing off‑property dining and bars. What We Loved • Beach: The best part of the resort. Free palapas, easy access, far less crowded than Palm Beach, and you can walk back to your room in minutes. The water is rougher here, but still a beautiful setting. • Ocean‑view room: Vista 2 (2nd floor) had a fantastic view—easily the highlight. • Staff: Friendly across the board, even if service was inconsistent. • Wedding: Absolutely stunning venue with great ambiance and solid food for the event. Where Things Fell Apart: Rooms & Cleanliness Rooms are basic and loud—you hear everything from neighbors, including door slams and conversations. Housekeeping changed sheets and towels, but floors were never properly cleaned. Multiple hallways had large puddles of water and stained flooring. Some ground‑floor rooms had sewage odors. Special mention: The towels were some of the worst hotel towels we’ve ever been given—thin, rough, and worn out. TVs barely worked and the resort really needs better in‑room IT/programming. Food Breakfast and lunch buffets were fine with plenty of choices, but nothing memorable. Dinners at Ginger and Paparazzi were bland, lacking flavor, and inconsistent. We were hoping for basic chain‑restaurant quality and didn’t get that. Drinks Bartenders were friendly, but… No bottled/canned beer No seltzers Weak wine Many in our group felt the alcohol was watered down or low‑proof Kids & Pools Kids club (“Sea Turtles”) was underwhelming, poorly run, and a 4‑year‑old costs an extra ~$150/day. Pools are very basic with no kid amenities, slides, or splash areas, unlike similar all‑inclusive resorts. Overall The Divi Aruba has: A great beach Friendly staff A beautiful wedding venue But we were disappointed with: Food and drinks Cleanliness and maintenance Room noise Kids amenities Overall value Aruba has world‑class dining and bars—this resort just doesn’t match what the island offers. For us, it was a 2.5‑star experience and we’d choose a non–all‑inclusive next time.

"Great Trip"

10.0

We enjoyed our vacation. The food was very good. The location is truly Oceanfront. We were able to walk directly out to the beach. The only downside is the walls were not that thick. You could hear a basic conversion at regular tone in another room. Jeanine was a very helpful rep at check in and Marina was a particularly nice server. The trip was overall very good

"Disappointed to say the least"

6.0

We went to Divi in 2024 and everything was amazing. This year we brought another couple and were embarrassed about the lack of friendly service. Most of the restaurants had friendly servers except for the buffet dining. They were rude and made you feel like you were bothering them even when you were seated. The servers at the bar were short tempered, rude, and really didn’t want to even be there. Just a disappointment. The coffee bar only ever had one server and she always acted like we were a nuisance. The burger bar was under staffed and I felt bad for the lady working hard making all the food. Very rarely did you see a server working the pool area. Lastly, reservations can only be made 2 days ahead for dining. I had to set my alarm for 12 midnight and still didn’t get the times I wanted. Not sure what the trick is here to get a 7:30 reservation. I only could get 5 or 5:30. Unfortunately we will not be coming back.

"Beautiful views and great location"

8.0

Our first time going to Aruba and our first time at an All Inclusive. Our room was fantastic - SO close to the beach! Was clean and the A/C was quiet. Perfect location. We enjoyed getting anything we wanted to drink whenever we wanted. Sometimes we were able to get top shelf liquor. All the staff were great and so nice - especially the servers at the buffet. We booked through Expedia and couldn't make dinner reservations for one of the sit down restaurants until we got there and then they were completely booked. After checking back the next day we did get reservations for Club Margot and Red Parrot. Service at both were exceptional. Food was ok - I'd like to see fresher and more from the island/region. It is disappointing to see so many chairs with towels on them but no people around. Also upsetting to be at a bar and have someone sit down next to me and light up a cigarette (yuck!). We were their during what is probably their busiest season - can't wait to go back at hopefully a less busy time.

"Nice beach, some good food options."

8.0

Nice all inclusive. Service at checkin was excellent. We did have to wait a while for our room to be ready, but we were provided temporary bracelets to start using restaurants and bars. Room in Vista 1 building was convenient to the beach and restaurants. However, due to its location, the pounding bass and music was excessively loud from about 7 pm to 11 pm (or later) every night. This is not conducive to sleeping and would highly recommend if you are not interested in the music, have young children, etc not getting a room in the odd numbered rooms in Vista 1. Food at Red Parrot and Paparazzi delicious and generously portioned. Food at Pure Lime was dry, unflavored, and serving size very small in comparison to other restaurants on property. Bars were good with usually quick service. Some had pizza and sandwiches (Divi side) while another one had chicken nuggets and fries (Tam side). These were great options when not wanting to go to the buffet. Highly recommend if you use the spa to make an appointment and not online due to how your credit card info is collected. I did have a great 25 min shoulder, neck, and back massage and hand/foot scrub. Checkout was a breeze and they can hold your luggage in a secure, cooled environment and you can continue using the services at the resort. Convenient walk to the casino and small market. Definitely worth checking out, but good to compare prices downtown or north near Palm Beach. Of note, they do low seat saving, so you will see chairs with towels, etc on the, and no one nearby. So if you’re not down there early (before 7-8 am) you may not get a seat at all. Also, there were rough waves during part of the time we were there so palapas were knocked down and seating scarce as the beach was eroded.
