Forest Park Hotel

We arrived for a 3 night stay & rennovation work was in place due to finish on 31st May. During our stay this changed to 31st July!!!! OMG It is absolutely horrendous!!! No restaurant, no bar, no pool. We are in a Woodland Atrium room overlooking the renovations. No chance will this be finished by July. When questioning the front desk, we were met my smirking staff stuffing their faces with sandwiches who informed us that the notice had been updated today. We are in a refurbished room which leaves a lot to be desired - God only knows what they were like before. We are celebrating our Silver Wedding in what can only be described as a complete dump!! This part of the hotel should be closed totally whilst this work is ongoing!!! Can't even open our curtains due to the construction work which begins at 7-30am.

The view is very nice and overall amenities are sufficient

The hotel location is at the far end of the strip. If you want to have a long walk to reach most of the shops and restaurant, it's a nice scenic walk. I was staying at the wing where they have expansion construction going on, so it can get noisy. I hope with the expansion happening, this will particular part will improve... Lack of elevators. None of the elevator will take you from ground to top floor. And, I think there is only 1 elevator for the entire complex. It's a big complex. Some people may not be ready for carrying their luggages up 2-3 floors.

Booked it because last couple of times was very enjoyable. However this year the price was the highest I've ever payed, and I was not inform of huge renovations going on. The room of my window opened up to scaffolds completely blocking the view, pool and jacuzzi were closed down. Long walk to get to our room because the main doors were closed down as well. In short, I feel completely ripped off.

No elevator, had to climb 3 levels to reach the floor ; the building was under some rebuilding and some facilities are closed
