"Good"

4.0

The room didnt have any frdge, was full of dust and the airconditioner did not work. The checking in and checking out was the longest ever experienced, my worst experience in Morocco so far, the staff, are deceptive, and as I wanted to cancell it, they charged for 2 nights. Absolute hustlers,

"5 days in Marakech"

8.0

A pleasant and relaxed stay. Several long trips out by taxi, which required some financial negotiations. Day trip to Atlas mountains included an unknown non-optional expensive midday meal. Trips also included unnecessary stops at carpet shops, etc. Quite often had to deal with traders who would appear from nowhere. Marakech "old Town" is so huge we got lost there and had to use a taxi to find our way out back out to the hotel. Huge thunderstorm on arrival had shut the airport for about 30 minutes. After that weather was fine, sunny and very pleasant for the rest of the stay. Although the April temperature was about 30degrees, the humidity was so low that this temperature was very pleasant.

"nice hotel but very poor service"

2.0

Rude staff, everything runs out at breakfast time and not replaced even before 9am. Food average. When a complaint is made, they don't care either way. If you stay here and there's a problem ask to speak with the female front desk manager, she's the only good one and speaks good English. Wouldn't recommend this hotel though.

"Not quite what I was expecting from a 4 star hotel"

8.0

Let's start at the beginning, it isn't a bad hotel, but it started badly. Upon arrival you're greeted by some doormen who will take care of your bags, but insist on you paying them before they leave your room. At check-in we weren't welcomed and weren't told about mealtimes, we also weren't told where everything was in the hotel. There is some noise from the other hotels. The food was good quality, but there wasn't much choice (reduced from last year). There's the typical pasta, potatoes, rice, meat etc as well as salad, soup and a choice of two small desserts. Breakfast is good and pancakes are made freshly in front of you. The drinks system seemed odd, they take down notes, and you sign at the desk in the restaurant and pay at the end of your stay. Don't forget you have to pay at the end, and also the tourist taxes (more expensive than is advertised on this site). We booked a double room and were given a twin, and asked to move rooms, which we did the next day. There are satellite channels but there is poor reception on both sides of the hotel, French and Arabic aplenty. On Friday we were treated to a Moroccan night with traditional music and dancing. Most nights there is someone singing, which is nice for the ambience. The hotel is about a 30 min walk (5 mins taxi) from the train station. Taxis wait outside the hotel during the day. You get the fare cheaper if you walk out to the main road. The hotel overall is very good, just a bit lacking for a 4 star.

Good except aircon is deficient. Would avoid hotel in hot weather. Had to open balcony door to cool off over nite.

"Very dated / No A.C"

2.0

Staff at hotel are very mixed, with some incredibly helpful and some not so. English speakers are very limited in this hotel so it is difficult to communicate requests especially at night. Worst part of my experience was the air conditioner not working for 3 nights in a row and upon departure the hotel manager telling us nothing we can do. Not even a compensation, I paid the full amount without any sort of compensation. The hotel itself is not very clean, it is very dated and does not have basic facilities. Towels are a huge problem, the hotel staff simply do not have enough towels. Not to mention breakfast was an absolutely disappointment - no real variety with boiled and scrambled eggs on offer daily which frankly smelled funny. I would definitely not stay here at this hotel again, but would love to go back to morocco as the country is amazing!

"Good For Budget Get-a-way"

8.0

I read reviews of over 30 different hotels in Marrakech before deciding to pick this one. All in all, I have no regrets! Location wise: The Hotel is a 5 minute cab ride away from the old Medina. The Hotel itself, it is very nicely designed and the pool is more than alright. We got half-board (a la carte), the food was great- menu choice ranged from Raspberry chicken to traditional Moroccan Tagines, breakfast got a bit repetitive though. About the service, we went to Marrakech during Ramadan so staff attitude was a bit bi-polar. Some staff members were very rude and careless of what we asked, while other went out of their way to help us out. The cleanliness of the hotel was not the best- the carpets were not steam cleaned for a long time and there was the casual cockroach in the bathroom every other day. For a get-a-way in Morocco, I would definitely recommend this hotel. If you do choose this hotel- remember to try the mint tea! (Tip for Marrakech: Bargain for EVERYTHING, especially taxis. Ex: Airport to hotel, Taxi drivers will say outrageous prices such as 20 euro per person, while the standard rate for Moroccans is about 7 euros per way.)
