Château Hotel Grand Barrail

Wonderful boutique hotel in St Emillion. Beautiful grounds and facilities. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. Would also highly recommend the restaurant which was delicious. 5 star experience all around!

This is a beautiful property! Eloise at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.

Not sure how this property has five stars. Didn’t have working air conditioning. Had to sleep with a fan and an open door (with mosquitoes everywhere) like I was in a hostel in a third world country. Many other guests complained too about the non working AC and terrible conditions to sleep. Do not recommend. Don’t stay here.

It was a short drive to Saint-Emilion which we fell in love with. The staff was superb and the dining experience was beyond all expectations.

Beautiful property. Comfortable spacious room. Very comfortable bed. Great water pressure in shower. We had a room facing the vineyard. Highly recommend.

Lovely setting and relaxed vibe

We ate lunch at the restaurant where my wife and I both got food poisoning. The cuttlefish app was slimy and we probably shouldn’t have eaten it but we ate some but didn’t even finish it and ended up having food poisoning. No toiletries in the bathrooms. Not the best 5 star hotel.

Beautiful chateau spoilt by petty rules - no bar service by the pool and it is wrong to hold paying guests to hostage by not allowing snacks in the bar in the evening - people dont want a full on meal every night
