Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort

No HDMI possibility for TV set, bad for convention guests. Otherwise nsuperb!!

Location is very good and the reception area was excellent. Reception staff were efficient. The surrounding gardens are really lovely and it was nice to walk outside our room and find kangaroos grazing peacefully around the gardens.

My husband attempted to order some bar food from the bar and was directed to the restaurant where two staff members ignored him and continued to chat amongst themselves. Subsequently, when my husband found a menu he was completely uninspired by what was on offer. Further, the room was very basic and in need of some serious investment to bring it up to standard. Only one chair inside, when the room was clearly set for at least 2 people, visible cracks in the ceiling, the air conditioning was very noisy and sitting outside in the small outside area was unpleasant as it was very overgrown so you couldn't really appreciate the surrounding beauty of the location.

Buffet breakfast was fantastic and customer service was exceptional- Annie was amazing and a great host

Double beds too small for two people- need to offer king doubles for families ! Our family of four did not sleep well in these beds.

How close it was to the beach, and the kangaroos. The breakfast was the high light.

Food was overpriced due to no competition, also not enough selection on the menu. A buffet dinner would be the way to go, as a good range of food for those fussy eaters. The breakfast, I'd go back for, but have to think twice about the rest of the days eating. It's a little drive to get to shops with eateries and groceries.

The staff, lobby, bar and facilities were good.

The room carpet felt gross. They need to renovate the rooms as they are very old and outdated. The humidity damaged the rooms. The bathtub was old and cracked.
