"Very Good"

7.0

The lobby had a Lodge feel to it. The rooms were spacious.

Well I read all the reviews and complaints so I wasn't sure what to expect. It is a bit run down, and certain rooms are close to the highway, and the staff seemed a bit uninterested. But the rooms were fine, warm and did what we needed.

"Do not recommend staying here at all, but sadly this is the only racket in town."

3.0

It was an ok place to lay my head at night and they had laundry on site. As a PCT hiker it was good to get out of the weather and have a roof over my head.

The plywood on the front door didn’t bode well…the man at the front desk was rude, mocking hikers (including me) for how many packages we had sent to the hotel (I can’t control how many packages REI sends), for which he then gleefully charged $15 per package. We needed change for the laundry machine, but I only had $20 bills, to which he acted like I had just personally insulted him. He said he could give us some of the change now and the rest later, so we told him we’d just go to the gas station instead. After all his nickel and dime-ing, I’m a bit shocked he didn’t offer to just give us the quarters for free or at least let us charge it to the room. The rooms themselves are outdated and didn’t feel well cleaned.

This hotel is nothing flashy (inside or out), but it was clean, and the bed was decent. Across the street was a place to eat and have a local beer and both were great!

"The only motel / hotel in town so I had to use it to escape a rainstorm. But lots of bad vibes."

4.0

It was located next to the Pacific Crest Trail.

The owner treats hikers as second-class citizens. I asked for a quiet room, but he put me in one closest to the I-90 freeway. Even though I paid full fare, he refused to put me in one of the empty rooms facing away from the freeway, and claimed falsely that they were booked. He treated other hikers poorly.
