Novotel Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa

We loved the buffet breakfast. It was the first time our granddaughter's had been to a buffet breakfast and were super excited about the choices and the pancake maker.

Could have a label on the coffee urn and hot water for tea.coffee with a tea bag is not good😂

We had a lodge overlooking the lake which was spectacular and was well appointed and very large.

the resort is in an excellent location, between Jindabyne and Thredbo. It is well laid out with plenty of space and a varierty of accommodation for couples and larger groups. It is easy to get around the resort by foot or bike - lots of kids were cycling around, which was nice to see! (no e-bikes!!!!) They offer an extensive range of facilities, including a restaurant, pizza place, on-site shop / bottle shop, bike hire, yoga and wellness; along with a range of free activiities such as bike hire, golf, archery and play area for kids. Breakfast was included in our package, and I would definitely recommnend! The food was excellent. We hired a studio for the weekend and it was cosy and comfortable for 2 people. The studio had air con + kitchen facilities included kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer & dishwasher, so it was easy to cook our own food if we didn't feel like eating out. Washing faciliities were also included (washing machine, dryer and washing poiwder) The bed was comfortable and the unit was clean. Staff across the resort were friendly and courteous and went out of their way to assist guests. It;s the second time we have stayed and I would definitely go back

not much you can fault really, although it is expensive. It can get a bit hectic at breakfast time - we visited over a long weekend, so the resort was pretty busy. The resort info says no pets allowed, but there were lots of people with dogs. A tad confusing and I forgot to ask about the policy.

Breakfast was the standard hot and cold, cereal, pastries etc.All satisfactory with lovely view of the lake. Our only request would have been the plates for the hot food were really cold so the food went cold very quickly ,perhaps a plate heater would be a good idea..The Italian restaurant on site however seperate to "The Oaks" was amazing.

Location, variety of activities and facilities were excellent. Both restaurants were top notch and the food was first class.
