Novotel Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa

What an amazing place. Been staying in Thredbo for so many years. I decided to give Crackenback ago it didn’t disappoint at all.

Everything was perfect.

Fabulous location, easy to access walks, rides and restaurants.

Getting a bit dated on the inside, crockery wasn’t washed well, bed a little droopy at the edges.

Everything was perfect. The resort had a beautiful restaurant with great food and outstanding service. The rooms were self contained with a washer dryer, and the grounds gorgeous.

The shower was VERY small, 800 x 800

The location of this resort is excellent, about half way between Jindabyne and Thredbo. The resort is laid out over about 60 acres, featuring the beautiful lake. The buildings are all unique but form a cohesive whole due to their architectural style and colour palette. Lots of wildlife and also deer about the grounds. There are plenty of options for short walks, including one to the Thredbo River, and I particularly enjoyed the many sculptures in the grounds. There are two restaurants on site. Breakfast was included at the Cuisine restaurant.

Although the room had a little balcony, this faced west and was too hot to sit on in the afternoon. The room tended to get very hot during the day because of this. Also, the refrigerator was very noisy at night making it difficult to sleep.

Loved the local wildlife and vibe of the resort. Accommodation was lovely but no AC or fan. (Hot weather during our stay)

We enjoyed the comfortable accommodation, we loved the location and wildlife and we appreciated the proximity of the restaurants and the calibre of food.

I would have liked if the restaurant on the lake was open more often, eg. coffee during the day.

The house we stayed in was lovely, perfect for a family of four. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking pans and utensils and was clean and comfortable.
