Sol Cala D'Or Apartments

This is our second time staying at Sol Cala Dor and we absolutely loved it. Location - perfect location small walk to the beach and the hotel is sort of in the middle of everything so you can get to everywhere with a short walk. Plenty of shops by the hotel if you need to stock your fridge! Hotel - lovely and clean on our 2nd night we had to move rooms as the drain was blocked in the shower which caused the bathroom to flood. We phoned reception and someone was with us pretty much straight away but they where unable to block it. They gave us the option of staying in the room and they would try to fix it the following day or we could just move rooms we opted to move rooms just because we had already been told we where moving so had started packing up our cases. The 2nd room we got was slightly smaller but it did the job and the hotel kindly gave us free breakfast for the rest of our stay which was amazing considering we where there for 14 days! Rooms where cleaned every 2 days with fresh towels. The rooms I do believe could do with a little refresh but for the price you can’t complain they do the job! Pool - we had absolutely no issues finding sunbeds people obviously do reserve sunbeds but some days we only went down just before 10am and sunbeds where still available and if I’m being honest all the sunbeds get a decent amount of sun throughout the day. Some days there where less sunbeds available than others but you could always find one. One thing I did like (others may not) the lifeguard would our cards on sun loungers which had been reserved for over a hour today they basically had a hour to return or their towel will be removed and he did remove people’s towels and rightly so we saw towels being reserved early and nobody returning until after lunch time!!! No need to reserve one if you aren’t going to use it. Pool is a great size with loungers in the pool and it was never too busy to have a swim! Temperate was pretty cool not too cold just right. Food - we absolutely loved the bar food I think I have the Caesar salad 5 days in a row! Fair price also. The breakfast was ok not a massive breakfast fan anyway it was just your standard hot food and then croissant’s and cakes the coffee and hot chocolate was lovely! Honestly absolutely no complaints from me we had a lovely second stay at Sol Cala dor it’s perfect for specially for self catering and I would definitely stay here if I was to return to Cala dor

Fantastic pool but have to put towels down quite early to get a good seat, apartments are clean and get cleaned each day as well which makes it a nice place to stay, staff are very friendly and the food and drinks at the bar are very good, based in a very nice spot, it’s a central location but is quiet, great for families.

We stayed here as a group of 3 girls during may half term. We stayed 5nights self catering. The hotel itself is only small but we had an amazing time and would definitely come back. The hotel is in a perfect location to visit cala d'or with only a short walk to the main street with all of the bars and restaurants and to the beaches close by. We got into a little routine and used to have a wander down to a shop close to the hotel for a fresh croissant and coffee and would take it down to the beach on a morning and return at lunch time to the pool. We did find that like most hotels there were often towels left on sunbeds for hours at a time with no sign of anyone using them. We were lucky and managed to find sun beds every day although i can imagine in summer this would be a bit more of a problem. We went down one morning and found sunbeds very easy but found on the days where we were coming to the pool midday we were left with very few sunbeds dotted around which we had to move. The room itself is lovely and clean. We stayed in a superior apartment. We did however have a problem with one of our windows in the bathroom not closing which meant we got a lot of noise on an evening up until 1am from bars close by. However, we didn't mention this to staff at reception and i'm sure this would have been sorted had we mentioned it. The bar by the pool had the most amazing menu of cocktails and drinks which we felt were reasonably priced. We also had lunch at the poolside bar a few times and loved it.

Everything was great especially staff bar were great with my grandkids rooms spotless pool area great it was my second visit and looking forward to going back all staff do amazing job the apartment are so central for beech play areas bars shops

Just back from a 7day stay. Excellent accommodation. Very clean, housekeeping was excellent, what impressed us the most was how friendly the staff were from the Pool staff, bar staff housekeeping every one had a good morning or a smile .any problem with the room were rectified very quickly. Iv see a few reviews about noise .but that's wasn't the case with us . And you could get anyone next door to you. But that shouldn't reflect on these apartments. Well with in walking distance to restaurants and bars. Look forward to returning.

The reality of this hotel is that the cleanliness and everything in general is of very low quality. Everything is quite dirty and broken. And as for the employees, the head waiter is a disgrace, very rude. The treatment is very good from the very pleasant receptionists and the very friendly lifeguard. Only this waiter in charge seems rude and unpleasant to us and made us have a bad stay.

Just back from a first time terrific stay at the Sol Cala Dor' Aparments which was made even better by the friendly and helpful staff throughout our ten day visit. The location is excellent with a 5 minute walk taking you down to a lovely sandy beach and the same time takes you up to lots of coffee shops, restaurants and retail shopping. There is an excellent pool with free sunbeds and there is WiFi in every room. During our stay we had a medical emergency however the support and help from the hotel staff was brilliant. However special mention must go to Paula and Sergio who were extremely supportive and helpful to Mr J and his wife throughout their ordeal. The cleaning staff where constantly wiping and cleaning every inch of the building and pool area. Even the sign which said 'Pool Closed' 😂 The towels and beds were changed every other day with a smile and friendly 'Ola' each time. Stephanie and Haribo supplied the drinks from the pool bar with smile and a laugh. Antonio can be very proud of her team at the Sol Apartments. We will be back! 😎

Excellent value for money! My partner and I stayed for a long weekend and were pleased that the hotel was in such a good location, on the doorstep of so many little shops, bars and restaurants and only 15/20 minute walk to the harbour. The bed was a little hard (2 singles pushed together) but we didn't mind too much. The hotel was spotless and there were always ample sunbeds when we went. We will definitely be back :)

What can I say . The apartment was spotless. The hotel staff were amazing. The pool was lovely. Its close to the beach and close to bars and restaurants. I will be coming back. Amazing hotel. The rooms are spotless and clean. Got fresh bedding and clean towels.
