Norfolk Royale Hotel

Breakfast was good staff very helpful and welcoming. First room we stayed in was awful and drab 2nd visit was much better better room light and airy.

Staff super attentive and friendly.

Coaches of seniors, nothing against seniors but at breakfast there was only one other group that was under 70. Felt like I was on the set of the film Cocoon. The menu caters more to this age range. Breakfast could be updated. Also bedroom floor was very squeaky with every step. Small fridge or bottles of water in the room would be more standard these days also, some variety of teas, mint tea?

Perfect location and it was great to have the swimming pool with the garden

The bathroom was old fashion and could be better with a shower tray as there was a big coach with elderly people staying there ,so it must not be easy for them .

The room was really lovely, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable! The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, albeit up a hill. You are approx 5 mins walk from a Wetherspoons, and the beach is about a 10-15 minute stroll. The swimming pool was lovely and warm, and the hot tub was nice too. The view outside the pool area is really lovely. The gardens are gorgeous. There is secure parking available in an underground car park, but it is NOT included in the hotel cost - you need to pay for this separately (was about £40 for our two day stay). The staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed us early access to use the pool facilities as we arrived two hours before we were able to check in. We didn't use the restaurant or breakfast area, but we heard good things from other travellers. The hotel hosts nightly meals and bingo which looked fun, but was very popular!

The pool showers took quite a while to get warm, and you have to keep pressing the button every 20 seconds or so. Slightly longer would be nicer! The view from our room wasn't great, as it was just a brick wall! But we weren't there to spend time in the hotel room so it didn't bother us too much.
