I have stayed in this Microtel in Tuscaloosa before. The desk lady was pleasant and answered several questions I had. She had worked a double shift.At check out she was still their on the third shift. The room was fine. The breakfast wasn't. Just carry-out items as the micro-wave was out of order as was the juice machine. No milk for cereal. That was unsatisfactory. Next time I will find a motel that serves a real breakfast. I trust this was temporary due to COVID.
We had our small dog with us. They wanted to charge over $100 for a pet fee. If there was no damage they would keep 50%. I told them that was out of line and didn’t check in. We went to another Wynndam property which charged $25 for our dog.
Really peaceful this time around
Stayed in room 237. Room is upstairs. There is no elevator. All you can hear is the interstate traffic. The breakfast was subpar. All the machines are labeled out of order. For $200.00 you expect a little more. The room was clean. Water stains all over the ceiling. Paint cracking everywhere. This is a 69.00 per night hotel at most. Not a 200.00.
Very old building. No elevator. You can hear everything the doors was not very Secure.
This Microtel is awful. Moldy smelling room. Cramped. Disgusting shower (and thread-bare shower curtain). Toilet that wouldn’t flush — even after plunging twice. I had the misfortune of staying the weekend of a big Bama game and the outrageous rate of $379 a night stings all the more because of how awful was this property. Don’t stay there with your family.
