Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Mankato Hotel and Conference Center, MN

Nice property that provided a good breakfast.

I stayed in Room 215, right at the top of the lobby stairs, with a view of the front desk from my door. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and the entire property was spotless. The pool was lovely, and the laundry room was impressively clean. I felt completely safe during my stay, and the location couldn’t be better — just five minutes to the airport. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. With my background as a former Assistant Manager at a Ramada Inn and current hotel inspector, I can say with confidence: this hotel is “move-in worthy.” I truly felt at home here. The only area I’d suggest for improvement is the welcome mat and elevator, as these are key first impressions. The elevator could use a deep cleaning in all its corners and crevices, plus a polish on the metal surfaces. The wood trim, while understandably hard to maintain, had noticeable chips and scratches that detract from an otherwise impeccable image. Still, the positives far outweigh the minor fixes. The breakfast was great, the staff was consistently sweet and professional, and even when I left at 1 a.m. to pick up my daughter, the front desk clerk was nearby, sitting at the patio table outside — a charming and reassuring touch. I would absolutely stay here again.

This property was chosen mainly because there was a restaurant and bar attached and come to find out at check in, that is closed until sometime in September. The continental breakfast was the same as other hotels and the staff was friendly. Overall average stay but disappointed.

Amazing stay!

Upon check in - the first room smelled out cat pee, they moved us to another room, it hadn’t been cleaned. The third room was sufficient but both the bed and the pull out couch were so uncomfortable that no one was able to sleep. Carpet in the hall and stairs was disgusting with stains everywhere, and the breakfast was your typical cheap small town hotel food.

Clean, nice beds and good breakfast

The only curtains that covered the window were sheer and they had stains on them. You couldn't block out the sun even if you wanted to. Bathroom had bottles in the shower for shampoo and conditioner and a spot for a third one which i assume would have been body wash, but there was no bottle and the shampoo was empty. Luckily i always bring my own. There were hairs in a few places when i arrived in the bathroom, one on lid of toilet. The garbage can in area by the beds had no bag in it, so i used one i got from a local convenience store. The remote was sticky i assume from the material corroding due to whatever they wipe it down with between visitors. People let their kids run up and down the halls being loud and their is no noise dampening in the room, so could hear it all very loudly. It was ok but not for the price. Also they claim to have a restaurant attached, but it is closed with a sign saying one is coming soon. Beds were ok but nothing special. The frig was too cold and froze things i put in it and it was small. Microwave the plate doesnt spin, but at least it worked. Frig and Microwave were old and not fully functional and should be fixed or replaced.

Body wash container in shower was empty. No complimentary waters in the room. The hot water carafe in lobby was warm bordering on cold.

Sarah Barna was friendly and extremely accommodating booking my groups reservations!!! The front desk staff and cleaning staff were also super friendly and helpful!!! The rooms were more than adequate and Sarah made sure that families in our group had larger rooms to accommodate their needs!!!

The staff was fantastic and the area is nice. The breakfast had a nice variety of options. There was a slightly musty smell in the room so that was a small downside but I have stayed before and not had that issue.
