Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection

This was a grand hotel, located right in the historic district . There was a romantic charm in the hotel design which was inviting. The bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant menu was a little pricey, but delicious.

I was really looking forward to the Thanksgiving buffet at Casa Monica, but it ended up being a huge disappointment. The food was cold, the quality was terrible, and for the price they charge, it was nowhere near worth it. The food servers were inattentive and unprofessional, and the whole experience felt rushed and unorganized. For a hotel and restaurant of this reputation, I expected so much more. Overall, it was an extremely overpriced, poorly executed holiday meal. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend their Thanksgiving buffet to anyone.

The staff is wonderful! I feel so badly that I didn’t get the name of the woman that helped us at check in. She was absolutely lovely and so cheerful. I imagine that every guest that interacted with her felt special. It was definitely a treat to be there and each staff member interaction was so warm and welcoming from the valet station to the restaurant to housekeeping. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the hotel and its location was perfect it was extremely busy. My only complaint is the hotel had way too many dogs! Obviously pets are allowed which I never have an issue with but I’ve never seen so many in such a nice hotel. I would stay again but inquire about this first

We found the hotel to be very comfortable with excellent service from top to bottom. Certainly not the level of a Ritz Carlton in terms of amenities but very nice in light of the fact it was opened in the 1880’s. The central location is the reason for the top rating. Within walking distance of the entire historic district.
