Wanda Vista Beijing

This hotel is located in the great area and nice interior. All staffs are friendly and really helpful, especially the front desk and doorman. However, the room services are just ok. We ordered meals couple times and the french fries and soup came COLD, even after I asked for to make sure they are hot. And one of a person in our group need it temporary wheelchair for the period of time during the stay, called the BOH dept supposed to have the wheelchair, and the person picked up the phone said he wanted RMB 1000 CASH as the deposit, and wouldn't take credit card. Although later on the front desk actually told us there's no need for a deposit, but there's obviously something not right if one of staff is asking customer CASH as deport in such nice hotel.

Compared with the price, this room is not good enough. Service can be improved.

This is by far the best luxury I was offered by Sofitel. I have been a big fan of this brand and have lived in Sofitel hotels in Mumbai and other parts of the world. They have redefined luxury and it feels like a mini vacation inside the hotel. They have the best customer service and I never felt like anything did not work for me. At the end of your stay you will miss this hotel I guarantee that. The French know what they are doing and what best hotel service means. I will definitely go to any other Sofitel hotel with a blindfold without having to worry about what I will expect. They have always managed to surprise me despite being a chain!

No upgrade,The room is small,And the window of the room is very narrow, it is difficult to enjoy the scenery of Beijing CBD,But the staff is warm and friendly to help us.

This hotel was strange; amazing looking and impressive when you first enter. After staying an evening - the finish of everything reveals itself. I cannot complain about the beds or the soundproofness of the building -- both are great. The power outlets randomly didn't work; and the hotel cards both in the elevator and the rooms lose their 'charge' all the time, so I had to replace my card once a day. If you look closely at the finish around light fixtures and other things you notice shoddy work--as though the whole hotel was rushed together. I think this is typical of a hotel this age; especially in Beijing. All in all, I was pleased by the efforts of the staff to make things nice-- most don't speak much English--and I was given an upgrade at no charge. The hotel just doesn't quite live up to its appearance, and can be frustrating at times. The local area is pretty vanilla but clean; the hotel facilities are ok but again, have that problem of looking good but being weird. I think for what I paid I got a great deal but I'm not quite convinced I will be back.

Really poor understanding of English on the phone for room service, at the restaurant etc. Even housekeeping was slow and didn't really understand basic English. I wouldn't recommend this hotel again unless you're comfortable with your mandarin.

I washed some of my clothes and let dry in the bathroom. The cleaning staff hangs them up for me with a rope across the bathtub. I feel great that your staff did such a great job.

I have stayed at the Sofitel Wanda many times and it is always excellent!!!!
