We visited this hotel several times when it was Sofitel managed, now the facilities are still very good but service level not quite Sofitel level. Staff friendliness varies, the reception lady was clearly very unmotivated for her job, but elsewhere staff was friendly and professional. Room was excellent apart from the TV remote controller, it worked intermittently, bad thing when watching the football wold cup. Still recommend the hotel.

Wonderful time at Wanda Hotel but hard sometimes to order room service or request food at restaurant due lack of understanding of English. The rest I highly recommend this hotel!

This should be a red flag on hotel.com. Hotel in owner transition. Good bones but very tired. Staff means well; is scared and disoriented. Appalling disconnect between room rate and value ($500/night double twin, really???) Recommend to stay clear for next year at least.

The hotel is gorgeous. However, very few staff speak any English at all and the few who speak English are incapable of understanding even basic phrases. And noone seems in charge of bars, restaurants etc. or example, restaurant staff did not understand the word "toilet." Bar staff did not understand the concept of "happy hour" even though they had a happy hour menu in English. We ordered the same drinks at the bar several nights in a row and every time the price was different and there was no manager to ask for an explanation. This was very disappointing since the hotel lobby is beautiful, there are several restaurants and the pool and gym are extensive.

Check-in and check-out was a tad haphazard for a 5 star hotel.

It is really not 5 star. While there certain individuals who provide services that are up to the level of expectations, overall service feels like 4 stars. Location is not great and the restaurants are quite good and expensive. Hotel is a bit old and as from Oct next year it will not be a Sofitel anymore. Local management takes over.
