Clean and nice grounds

Very rare to say this but staff just seemed utterly miserable. I don’t know what the issue was, perhaps just too busy (it was full). Also they need to sort beach sunbeds out. Having only about 100 is just not enough for a hotel of this size. Didn’t get one once in a week.

Our stay at Pine Cliffs Residences was overall fair. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the staff were consistently warm and professional. However, the accommodations and overall experience fell short of what we’d expect from a 5-star resort—at least in the Residences (the main hotel may offer a higher standard). If you’re traveling with young children, the Residences might be a great fit. The pool area is lively and full of families with small kids. However, if you're hoping for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere—especially with older children or young adults—it can feel a bit chaotic and noisy. One major downside was our air conditioning, which never worked properly. We reported it on day one, and while maintenance came to check it out, they insisted it was functioning. Despite setting it to 17°C (around 63°F), the room stayed at what felt like a humid 78°F throughout our stay. Unfortunately, it was never fixed. At checkout, when we mentioned the issue, the front desk kindly offered a discount, which we appreciated. Getting around the resort was fairly easy—especially with the complimentary shuttle service. However, getting to the beach requires some effort. You first take a shuttle to the main hotel, then an elevator, followed by a walk down a long staircase. It’s manageable for adults, but could be a hassle with small kids or if you’re carrying a lot of gear. Dining was a mixed experience. We had a pleasant lunch at O’Grill, and breakfast there was decent. However, we didn’t enjoy our meal at Piri Piri Steakhouse and wouldn’t recommend it. Other restaurants on the property may be better, but we didn’t get a chance to try them. On our last day, we had an early checkout and asked for a to-go box to take some pastries from the included breakfast. We were told it would cost $10 just for the boxes—even though breakfast was part of our rate. The resort did offer a pre-packed breakfast at 7 a.m., but we’d have needed to take a shuttle to the main hotel to pick it up, which wasn’t convenient with an early airport transfer. In summary, Pine Cliffs Residences has beautiful grounds and friendly staff, but certain aspects—especially comfort, convenience, and value—missed the mark for us. It could be a good fit for families with small children, but for others, expectations may need to be managed.

Beautiful place and very well maintained. All the facilities you could wish for and a friendly atmosphere. Very large though so it takes a while to get to the swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. I recommend asking for an apartment next to the facilities you intend to use the most. Restaurants on location very nice but very expensive, especially the breakfast buffet.

The room could use some updating. TV and furniture getting old, especially the sofa bed which was squeaky, but the beds in the rooms were comfortable and the bedding very nice. The shower in our room didn´t work when we arrived and took four days to get fixed, had to complain five times before the plummer arrived.

Ok so, all amenities are nice. I’d label this place as a 5 star location. Came in august 2025 for a wedding. Didn’t disappoint; staff was amazing in most aspects. But as visiting from the States, there’s 2 things that fell a little short, meaning they were ok. Shuttle service availability around site was very hit or miss. 10/10 when used. Cellular & WiFi connection is hit or miss & not as fast as preferred as a gamer. But adequate for basic communications. Theres amenities for virtually everyone in the family. If you’re willing to put in the time & money, it’s all worth it.
