Stapleford Park Country House Hotel and Sporting Estate

It is very grand from the outside and the sitting areas are lovely. However, the rooms are much more average in desperate need of love and attention. It has the structure for a great property, but needs a little rethink. There were a large amount of staff, all whom where lovely, however, gave the presence of running around in a panic. The piano player made our evening! He was absolutely brilliant!

Every fine. Check I quick. Room very nice and comfortable and clean. The area beautifull country. Staff very nice. Restaurant very good.

The hotel looks amazing from outside and is set in wonderful grounds. Inside however is a very different strory. Our room which was very small and dated was miles from reception in a wing not in the main house. The WiFi didn’t work the entire trip and the safe in the room was Broken. Heating was provided by a temporary heater as the radiator (and towel warmer) didn’t work. Service is poor, we waited more than an hour for an ice bucket and as the bar isn’t manned all the time it took ages to get a drink. We were incredibly disappointed as we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.

Outstanding hotel, staff were amazing throughout the hotel apart from the dining room, didn’t feel relaxed or welcomed Breakfast not up to the 5 * service. Bedroom was a fantastic size and very comfortable, the bathroom was a little tired but very serviceable. Amazing grounds, the perfect setting.

The service is excellent. Really friendly and helpful. Stapleford is stunningly beautiful. Because Stapleford was originally a sporting castle, it is out the country, a few miles from just about anything else. However the grounds are stunning. Stapleford has its own chapel that is always open, and other buildings that one can spend hours exploring. We stayed for three days and was never bored. They also have s golf course on grounds, but I couldn’t play it. It looked great. We’d definitely stay here again.

Finding your room was like a maze, very fustrating

Lovely hotel in amazing grounds. Food is exceptional but still move expensive than it needs to be.

Beautiful setting, magnificent buildings. Would have been nicer if we could have parked nearer the main entrance as it was raining. Staff were professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. Long walk from reception through to our room and whilst there was a life up one floor, it was not working when we went to use it. It wouldn't have helped much as there were several small sets of stairs to traverse before we reached out room. Would not be recommended for someone in a wheelchair or with mobility limitations. Room was well equipped, clean and with all the extras expected of a four star hotel.

The location and ambiance of the hotel and grounds make for such a relaxing experience. The quality of the food and helpfullness of the staff sets Stapleford Park apart from other, similar, destinations.
