Occidental Nuevo Vallarta - All Inclusive

This was the first all inclusive where my wife and I could just relax and literally not worry about a thing. The staff were quick to serve and friendly in a way that they made you feel at home. Great food and atmosphere at a very affordable rate.

We recently stayed at Occidental Nuevo Vallarta in Nuevo Vallarta with a group of friends and had a fantastic experience. The pool area was a great place to relax and spend time together, and the beach was beautiful and very enjoyable for long walks and swimming. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. We found the food to be very good overall, with enough day‑to‑day variety to keep things interesting, even if it was not extremely varied. Check‑in and check‑out were quick and efficient, which made everything feel smooth and stress‑free. The staff were always very friendly and helpful, and their positive attitude really added to our overall experience. We truly enjoyed our vacation here and would happily recommend this resort in Nuevo Vallarta to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with friends or family.

Rarely go to the same resort more then once as we like trying different locations out; however this is the second year in a row at the Occidental. Reasons why we came back are as follows. Food - The buffets are fantastic; lots of choices and if you go early enough everything is full and hot. The servers are very efficient and friendly. David at the breakfasts remembered us from last year and is very enjoyable to talk to as well as being good at what he does. Rooms - Our room did not have the balcony as we dont spend much time in the room so did not see a reason to pay more for it. The air conditioning took a bit to get figured out to keep a comfortable temperature but after we got that figured out no problems. The beds are comfortable (better then many places) but the pillows take some time to get used to. Fridge was always restocked and the bedding made up and towels changed no matter if we requested or not. Room was quiet except for one night when some people next door were checking out or in early morning . The rooms are clean but a bit dated but everything worked and the safe was a good size. Pool - Though not large there are alot of chairs around it; however you have to get there early to get your pick. I am an early riser so it was no big deal to me. There are alot of chairs on the beach all day. The water in the pool was almost too warm in the afternoon, there are some missing tiles around the pools edge but no safety issue. We really like that there is no food allowed at the pool. Beach - You can walk for Km's in each direction. Bar - There is one inside and one outside (no swim up); the drinks were good and quickly made. There is not much for whiskey but they have scotch and rum and all the other items you might want. Bartenders and servers are great and very entertaining. For years I have been looking for a decently made Long Island Ice Tea and this place makes it; Fernando was excellent. Concierge - Nestor takes excellent care of you and is a great guy just to talk to. Shows - we attended a couple and they were much appreciated as they put alot of effort into them. Alacartes - we had no issue booking them but I think this is one area they could do something with; you only get three for 7 nights and cant book any of the three twice. All in all a very good stay and the size is much smaller then other resorts.

We have been to the Occidental several times. It is convenient (20 minutes from the airport) with nice, exceptionally clean facilities, and outstanding food, especially for an all inclusive. The staff is polite, professional and responsive. It has a good mix of families and couples, and activities to involve both. It is a great place to relax and recharge

Our group of couples visited in February and had an exceptional stay at the Occidental Nuevo Vallarta. Even with the disruption that occurred during our visit, the staff maintained a high standard of service and ensured our experience remained positive. The rooms were consistently clean and well attended, and the housekeeping team added thoughtful touches throughout the week, including the extra beers that were very much appreciated. The recent renovations have noticeably improved the property. The addition of the new pool and Royal Club area has elevated the overall atmosphere and provided more options for relaxation. One of the advantages of this resort is its compact layout, which eliminates long walks between the beach, rooms, and amenities. The black sand beach is firm and ideal for long walks, which became part of our daily routine. The Royal Club continues to be a highlight. The food quality, attentive service, and comfortable setting make it a reliable choice for both breakfast and dinner. A special thank you goes to Marisol, who consistently went above and beyond in both the Royal and First Clubs. Her professionalism and genuine care made a meaningful difference in our stay. We have visited this resort many times, and it remains a dependable choice for a comfortable, well‑run, and enjoyable vacation. We look forward to returning again soon.

Location was absolutely perfect. Beautiful beach, great weather and amazing ocean experience. The atmosphere of the Occidental was so much fun. Great games, pools were clean, warm and family friendly. Rooms were good, could use a bit of a face lift but beds were comfy. The room was clean and the size of the room was perfect. Value was great, can’t complain. Entertainment was fun, the shows at night were beautifully choreographed and family friendly. I can’t say enough about the staff! They really made the experience perfect. From the restaurant staff to the bartenders to the entertainment staff. They remember your name, favourite drink, made you laugh and smile. We would stay here again and again.

Excellent service from the moment we arrived. All the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed every meal. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and towels were changed daily. The beach is very clean. We loved Occidental and would definitely return many more times. We were grateful that after our check-out they let us stay and enjoy more food and drinks while we waited to go to the airport.

This was our first all-inclusive and we really enjoyed it. We loved having the royal level. Food options were great. Something for everybody.

This resort was fabulous! I'm so thankful I got to experiencing one of the best vacations ever and I already can't wait to go back. The contourage worker Francis Gonez was absolutely wonderful. She helped us numerous times and was so easy to work with. She was thoughtful and understanding and was very experienced. I am so greatful for her help. 💖 Francis booked us into many fine restaurants and was very knowledgeable and pleasant all the time. The service at the poolside at the Occidential was outstanding. Ninive was on her toes bring us drinks quickly and remembering what drinks we liked to be served. The pool was clean and large and had a exciting but relaxing atmosphere. The food in this resort was top notch. The beef I swear was the best I've ever had in Mexico. Was it Alberta beef??? It sure tasted like it. You will not be disappointed with the food and there is a large variety to choose from.😋 The beach was beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and the people working at the resort were courteous and provided over the top service 😀 I highly recommend this resort as it was affordable and everything we hoped it to be! Amazing people throughout this resort from the poolside waitress Irene and Ezekiel and Augustine behind the bar! Always incredibly pleasant and extremely attentive and just a lot of fun to hang out with! Up at the incredible Royale restaurant, Manuel, Marisol, and Eligio provided excellent service for our very special meals at a wonderful restaurant with incredible food! The rooms were very clean and made up daily, and the air conditioning and hot water were fantastic! I want to apologize if I have forgotten anyone, but literally everyone that is employed at this resort is exceptional! In fact, I’m headed back tomorrow march 5-15, 2026 for 10 days of sunshine and poolside Good times!👌😎❤️
