Occidental Nuevo Vallarta - All Inclusive

We love this resort and have been coming for 15 + years. Upon arrival this time I went to the members pool and found dirty, ripped, lounge chairs you would not keep in your own yard. The non members pool has new chairs- why did they not replace them all? The staff as usual is the BEST. I am just disappointed in some of the basic maintenance. I will not list it here as the manager addressed some for us already. The resort is still fun and food fabulous- would just like things to look inviting!

The staff make this place so much fun and the food at the night restaurants is also really good. Wish they would’ve upgraded our room to a balcony one since they were not at full capacity.

Best Mexican food on the planet!! Try to reserve early for Tokyo and Italian restaurants. Enjoy the beach side massage tents. Fabulous sunsets and a lovely beach. Walking distance to a mall for a after dinner stroll. Miniature ChizenItza was a pleasant surprise.

Stayed only one night but after the previous 6 nights traveling and staying in BnB's this hotel felt very luxurious. The beach and grounds are beautiful. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The buffet was good enough to always find something tasty (the roast pig was amazing at dinner). Even though there were some families, the resort was quiet and civilized. If it was newer I would rate it 5 stars.

This is a great place for the price. The beach is beautiful and very walkable. The rooms are very comfortable with plenty of storage so it isn't cluttered. There is a large safe in the room with space for your lap top. The bathroom is very nice but could use some work on the door to keep it from leaking. There is a refrigerator stocked with beer, soda, water and snacks which are replenish daily in no cost. Lighting is more than adequate. The WIFI was great all over the resort. The ala carte restaurants were very good. The service has great. The pool was clean but at this time of year the water could have been warmer. It was doable but you couldn't stay in it as long as I like. Nuevo Vallarta is a very nice location. There is a mall and bank less than a block away. Every Tuesday during the winter, there is a Flee Market by the hospital which you can see from the resort. This was our 8th trip to Occidental Nuevo Vallarta and we will go back again.

Ramseys and Rony are the best ever!!! They were so hospitable and kind and made the best drinks. They were super amazing with family and keeping a family friendly environment.

Lovely stay! Great food, lovely kept grounds, friendly staff. Only minor issue was the room windows do not open but A/C works great! And our shower was cool mostly. But we would absolutely stay here again!

Nancy at the kids club was amazing. She always was so welcoming and great with the kids. My seven-year-old daughter Hayden absolutely loved going there and I’m sure a large part of that was because of Miss Nancy. On her day off, my daughter was sad and almost didn’t want to even go to the kids club and was so excited when she was back the next day.

Its a very beautiful resort. Beautiful beach. Excellent staff. Very friendly. Wonderful food. Tons of things to do. We had a great time
