The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel

Murthal was fabulous! She has a beautiful peaceful presence and her experience and expertise greatly contributed to a very positive and fulfilling 5 day yoga experience.

Service, food, location

Vardhan Tatapudi - My stay at The Leela Palace Kovalam was nothing short of exceptional. The hospitality here is truly unmatched—they made me feel completely at home while I soaked in the breathtaking beauty of the property. Spanning 64 acres, every moment felt timeless, even over just two days.

We were disappointed by the butler sheetal. Things were misinformed & not guided properly. Staff was saying No for everything!

The location is truly exceptional, with stunning ocean views and a very calming, serene atmosphere. The property has a unique charm and feels quite special. The staff were warm and welcoming, which added to the overall experience.

Some areas of the hotel feel slightly dated and could benefit from better upkeep. Service was good but not always consistent—particularly during busy times. I was unable to book a private yoga session, and evening turndown service was not provided, which I would expect at this level.

We are long time big fans of Leela Raviz. Each time we go, it continues to impress us. This week was no different. Had an excellent stay at the presidential suite. Service was top notch. Want to give a call out to Sanjana who was our bulter during our stay. The way she took care of my father in particular was top notch. The birthday celebration for my nephew turned out to be the biggest suprise among all his birthdays. Food (variety, customization and overall flavour) was also excellent. The most recurring theme was "can I get another stomach for rent please?". My father was so happy to be part of the palace tour that was offered. Thank you Sanjana, Aji and entire Leela team who took care of us in the best possible manner.

I really had a nice experience with my family at Leela kovalam. Staff were really helpful and friendly from check in to check out. Aji, club Manager was really very helpful during our whole stay and I am really thankful to Aji for making our stay memorable. I will surely recommend to my family and friends.

The hotel is beautiful and in a good location. The welcome was pleasant.

However, considering the hotel’s star rating and price, we cannot rate our stay as excellent because: Almost every day we practically had to “beg” for bathrobes to be brought to us. After the room was cleaned, the old ones were taken away, but no new ones were left in their place. Although the towels in the room were changed every day, the floor was not cleaned even once during our entire stay. Please take a look at the veranda door and how conveniently it can be opened and closed without a handle, both from the inside and the outside. I repeatedly asked for a drying rack where we could dry our wet swimsuits, but we never received one. When going to breakfast, we repeatedly had to ask the staff to clean a table so that we could sit down. The same applied to the bowls, which had run out. Only after the third request did we finally get some. I will not even comment on ordering coffee. Just like with the bathrobes, we had to ask for it ourselves; no one considered it necessary to come over and ask. One day after breakfast, we waited 30 minutes for towels by the pool. Although it was emphasized that the beach was private, one evening when we went for a swim it was overcrowded with local people. The security guard explained that they were celebrating a holiday, and that was why. That might not have been the worst part, if I had not been swimming face-to-face with a child’s dirty diaper floating in the water. It would also be good if information about evening events at the hotel were available. However, given the hotel’s star rating and price, we cannot rate our stay as excellent. The hotel did not keep its promise to provide a free transfer to the airport. The money was withheld.

Romy in the spa gave me a great foot massage. Immediately feel relaxed
