Catalonia Punta Cana - All Inclusive

This is a mid tier hotel on its best day. Upon arrival we waited over 15 minutes for our luggage to be taken to our bedroom. When no one came my wife decided we carry and find our room. Once we were in the room was not clean at all. There was a lot of dust and debrief build up in the corners and the shower itself didn’t properly work, water was either really hot or cold no in between. The toilet flushed whenever it decided to on its own. On our first night the A/C stopped working as they had a power outage at the property, upon calling the front desk they did send a maintenance person after calling twice. Our sheets were never changed, and our towels were taken but never replaced. In America, this hotel room would easily be mistaken for a cheap hostel. The food itself and their “fine dining” restaurants were all a miss. You have to attempt to use a website that works half the time. We tried the Italian restaurant Toscana, and it was easily the worst Italian food I ever had - the lasagna was served to me cold so it was obvious it was a frozen lasagna they just heat up. My 4 year old niece had fries and chicken nuggets and she couldn’t even finish’s it because of the bland taste. I also got food poisoning from their steakhouse Rodeo, tried the burger as I thought that was the safest bet. All in all, I would not recommend anyone to visit this property unless there is truly no other options. Everything was a miss from the food to the rude staff, to the dirty room.

Love the mature trees , landscape was beautiful , very clean . Our room was somewhat outdated . The food was spectacular and the staff were very helpful . Unfortunately the beach wasn’t impressive due to the sea weed problem affecting the carribean. Overall the resort was very good . My family and friends had a great time .

Nice family resort

The choice of food at the restaurants was disappointing. Most of the meals were mediocre, and the staff's service was lacking at several establishments. The only redeeming dining experience was at the Hibachi. We traveled as a party of six and consistently faced issues with not having enough towels, despite asking for them daily throughout our stay. Additionally, our daughters' room had a leak, and our own room experienced water leakage in the bathroom. Also do not order room service, we ordered food at 12:30 am and received the food at 5:30 am. The staff's handling of these concerns was inadequate. Given the length of our stay and the price we paid, I would strongly advise considering a different resort in the future.

The food was amazing, the beds comfortable. Most important all the people that works there where amazing.

Propery grounds and beach were beautiful. Absolutely loved being able to snorkel right off the beach. There were a few minor issues, but stsgg rectified them immediately. Wasn't a huge fan of the italian restaurant, but overall food was good.
