Albatross Hotel

was good, no complaint

The room was clean but very, very outdated. Definitely in need of renovation and new furniture. We had two double beds in the room and one was broken. It sank to the floor when you sat on it so we wouldn't dare sleep on it. I did tell the front desk staff and they made a note of it.

Friendly staff and clean room and most importantly affordable.

Convenient location on the TCH at Gander. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Competitive price.

If I could give a minus number it would be that - Waller unglued throughout room - dirty and dingy- loud and unkempt hotel - do not spend a dime here - terrible + + cobweb by curtains- dirty visible in radiator footing - bedding thin and worn out I’d like a refund from Expedia as this hotel should not be represented by you

If the number one aim of a hotel is to provide guests with a decent night's sleep then the Albatross Hotel fails. There was a lot of noise in the hotel from kids running up and down the corridors, and when this eventually stopped I noticed that the extractor fan in the bathroom was permanently on and made a droning noise all night, so avoid room 321. Reception is also very dark, as are the corridors, and it is like a maze getting to your room. On the positive side, the room was clean and had all the amenities you'd need, and the food in the restaurant was excellent : I'd recommend the salmon. At breakfast, didn't get offered water or juice but the toasted home made bread was nice. But sadly, I think, of all the hotels I've stayed in during my trips to Canada, this is the only one I would never go back to.

Good location easy to find. However price I was quoted was lower than the final bill. They adjusted accordingly.
