Travelodge by Wyndham Albuquerque East

If I could give it a zero, I would, this place is so disgusting, it was like staying at a homeless camp in a Third World country. They were drug deals going on, bugs in the room, and so much more. Do you not stay here!!! Nimish said he was the owner of it, and treated me absolutely horrible when I complained. He literally spat at me when I walked out of the lobby.

Disgusting room. Holes in the flooring, sheets had stains. Horrible service, was unable to reach anybody at 9:00pm on a Saturday needing more bath soap. The front desk attendant was on the phone for a personal call during check in and check out. Location also does not feel safe at all. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The area, oh, the area! People camped out next to the hotel panhandling. People yelling and screaming outside The room, smoke detector was sitting on the dresser. Called the front desk to inform them and was told "we don't have a maintenance person" The door had space in between the top and bottom The toilet was stained Asked about coffee in the lobby and was told by the worker "I broke the coffee maker and I need to bring one from home"

I usually never leave reviews but this place was so disgusting I wanted to spare others--I would've left a negative 5 if that was an option. We had two rooms and between them both there was--underwear hanging in the room, toilet didn't flush, lights didn't work or didn't even have bulbs, dirty sheets, spots on the ceiling that looked like blood spots with a few dead bugs on the ceiling as well, doors looked like they had been broken into a few times, broken handles on the dresser, hole in the bathroom floor with partially missing tiles, the lampshade looked like it was in a fight, the curtains had holes in them, and no smoke detectors in our rooms. One of the rooms had a bible, so the staff must know there's praying that will be involved staying there. When I went back to complain, another lady that must've just checked in was complaining that her sheets were dirty too--with footprints on them. I can only imagine what the rest of her room looked like, but I'm going to assume it was probably missing a smoke detector too. Walking just the hallways it seems the homeless use the corners of the buildings to urinate or shoot up. On the side of the building we were on, all the fire extinguishers were missing too, so hope (or pray using the bible in the other room) there's never a fire while you're staying there. We immediately started looking for another place to stay but since it was during the Balloon Festival, pretty much every hotel was booked. Other than the overwhelmed lady in the front office that checked us in and ultimately refunded us, I just don't know how Wyndham isn't aware of how terrible this place is and how it reflects on them. We ended up staying in Taos at the El Pueblo Lodge and they were fantastic and the breakfast in the morning was phenomenal.

The best way to summarize this property is that the owners seem to have decided not to fix any damages about a decade ago, and now the property is essentially a derelict motel that should be given zero stars. Even basic amenities that one expects in a a hotel (a phone to call the front desk for help, a stopper in the sink, toilet roll holder, clean floor upon check-in, a door that closes fully) are not present. Expedia should de-list this property from its listings - I ended up paying $132 a night for this junk (not including taxes), when it felt like staying at a cheap $40/night motel.

If I was a movie producer, I would use this in a drug deal gone wrong murder scene. The toilet didn't work. There were missing light bulbs. The smoke detector was hanging by its wires on the ceiling. The curtains didn't completely closed to the window facing the highway. I hope the sticky floor was from the type of floor cleaner they used.

Definitely not as advertised. We felt so unsafe on check in that we didn't even stay. Sheets were soiled (dirty handprints and spots), the room smelled like smoke (non-smoking), there were no towels or hand soap, and the exterior was covered in grafitti. It was clear the place had not been cleaned and was not suitable to stay in.

The room was horrible. There was no smoke detector, microwave or fridge. The bathroom door handle was broken and could not be closed. The sheets were stained and dirty. Hotel had boasted of newly renovated rooms, however our room was old and rundown. When we asked for a different room, we were told there were none available. However we walked by 3 rooms while we were there that never had anyone in them. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The check-in process was easy, but once we got to our room it just went downhill. The entire room smelled liek smoke, the smoke detector was missing, the sheets were covered in dirt and stains, and there was dirt all over the floor and microwave. We were sitting in our car trying to decide what to do about our room when someone came up and actually tried to break into our car while we were sitting in it, they only walked away once they saw us through the window. They then literally proceeded to smoke drugs in front of our car. Overall, it was a horrible experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I have so many compliments about this location I will find the correct address and will write a letter with all the many problems listed!!!
