InterContinental Suites Hotel Cleveland by IHG

This hotel is located on The Cleveland Clinic main campus. There is a shuttle that runs frequently to and from the hotel to the clinic. We spent 12 nights here while my husband had open heart surgery. The staff here is amazing! Every person including the valet, front desk, housekeeping, room service and restaurant staff was friendly, helpful and kind. Above and beyond! These people are wonderful. Front desk staff helped us with shuttle service and a wheelchair for transport just to name a few things. Housekeeping brought daily water bottles and additional towels after my husband’s surgery, as requested. Our hotel room was very clean. The bathroom was spacious and had grab bars. If this review were based only on service it would be 5 stars! The room itself definitely needs some repairs and refresh. Our room had very banged up baseboards and doors. The sofa bed should be replaced due to the smell. The room itself had a nagging smell of wet fabric. On day 10 of our stay there was a bad rain and wind storm. When I went to adjust the thermostat during the storm, I discovered the carpet was wet. The thermostat is located near the window in the living room. There was a 2 foot diameter wet spot on the carpet. I went over to the window and discovered rain coming in along the bottom. There was a large puddle on the windowsill and rain was dripping down to the carpet. The window was slightly ajar at the bottom even though it was closed and locked. The wallpaper under the window had water damage. Even though there is a thermostat in the room the heat and AC are controlled by a central system in the building. So, the room can be very cool or very warm depending on the setting of the central system regardless of what temperature the guest sets the temperature to. The location of this hotel is excellent with relation to the clinic, the staff is superior but the room it self needs repairs, fresh paint and wallpaper and and a new sofa, possibly new carpet to get rid of the smell.

We were welcomed by the valet service, checked in quickly, any questions we had were answered immediately and were off to our room. The entire hotel and our room was immaculate. The cleanest hotel room we were ever in. The halls and elevators were also very clean. We ate in the dining room one evening and the staff was great and the food excellent. We dined in leisure and were not hurried, Our whole experience was great. Everyone knew their job and did it well, no sense of hurry, no response showed impatience. A truly good experience.

The hotel was clean, well maintained, and staff were very polite and helpful. Valet parking.was so convenient and staff were equally amazing. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Being a patient in one of the country’s largest hospitals is difficult enough. Staying close to the hospital with the shuttle there, provides one less worry. Thank you for working with them. The valet service persons are welcoming, and polite. Housekeeping is very thorough and helpful. I wish I had been greeted with a smile after my very long drive!

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The suite was clean and the staff was very helpful. The only complaint is that it seemed like somebody was rolling a heavy cart or something on the floor above us. It was almost like the sound of a bowling ball rolling. We heard it several times before going to bed and also in the morning. I don't know if there is some kind of equipment above the room we had but it is the first time I ever heard such a noise while staying in a hotel.

The hotel staff was great and very helpful during our 4-day stay. But I was REALLY disappointed in the state of the suite. The rooms desperately need to be renovated! We had torn carpet and peeling wallpaper. Televisions are pretty small compared to other hotels. And for the price of the suite, I expected a nicer room. I would recommend staying at the new Holiday Inn that is next door, which is about the same price, but with newer and nicer rooms.

Staff was amazing by and went out of their way to make meet my needs. Room was spacious and clean, would have like better water pressure in the shower and more consistent temperature control.

We always stay here when visiting Cleveland the entire team from check in to check out we're helpful and friendly We will be back in the area soon and our plans are to stay at the Intercontinental
