"12th Birthday Weekend Extravaganza"

We stayed at the lodge with friends and family for our son's 12th birthday celebration. From room booking to check-out, we had a great experience. All of the kids had the best time. Great space for small or large events.

"For the price paid, I expected more."

Friendly staff, beautiful resort. Executive suite clean and comfortable, but was from the 60s/70s and not updated since at least the 90s. Water pressure was weak, shower didn't drain and backed up, toilet seemed to be leaking, tub had some kind of stains on it, one of the TVs didn't work. For the price paid, I expected more.

"Another wonderful stay, with spa-ing, & skiing at Winterplace, too!"

I have been going to Glade Springs for over 20 years, often to ski at Winterplace, as I did this year, and I love it! The "Executive Suites" are charming, as each one has a little outside porch with a table and chairs, and they always make me feel like I have my very own little house! I love the great big bed & down pillows!! The shuttle drivers are truly Fabulous, and super-nice- & they have a free shuttle to Winterplace, too, which is SO great! And I LOVE the Orange Spa, and look forward to having a pre-ski "day of beauty" there, and their indoor pool, hot tub, & sauna are great for "apres ski"! The Small Talk Cafe is adorable, with its little fireplace, and they make excellent Lattes and other treats, as well, and Bunker's is a great place to come back to for dinner. Highly recommended!

"Bait and switch! Nasty/Old AND EXPENSIVE"

Bait and switch! Photos are not what you get. We were booked for an executive suite. It’s an outbuilding with four units. The carpet is moldy. The building is old and the pullout bed for the child was horrible! Went to Walmart and bought an air mattress. They had plenty of vacancies, but put us at the back of the property where we had to carry our luggageall the way around the building to get to the exterior door. I called in advanced to verify what we were getting and was completely lied to. Was quoted one price and then they added about $100 worth of “ additional cost” when we got to the desk to check in! Oh yes. Don’t touch the light switches. You get shocked-110volts! I could understand not having everything you want for a good price. And I could understand things being expensive. But I’ve never seen anything so expensive and so pathetic in one place (and I am well traveled). When I tried to address it. The Front Desk staff was just sarcastic, and rude. They couldn’t even explain all of the charges they were adding, and would not attempt to handle any of the issues.
