"5 star hotel"

This is our third or fourth stay at The Royce, and it never fails to impress. The ambience is first class, with soft jazz playing throughout the downstairs areas and immaculate chrome and crystal finishes that are in superb condition — not a fingerprint in sight. The staff provide outstanding service, from reception through to the cleaning and maintenance teams. It’s obvious a great deal of training and pride goes into maintaining the expectations of a true five-star hotel experience. The meals are excellent quality, and the downstairs lounge area is perfect for relaxing with wine and cheese beside the multiple fireplaces. The hotel is also in a very convenient location, with a tram stop right out the front and only a short trip into the CBD. Every stay has been consistently exceptional, and we look forward to returning again.

THE STAFF, THE WAY THEY COMMUNICATED TO GUESTS. THE LACK FOR RESPECT WHEN A GUEST HAD QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. THE FACT THEY CHARGE GUESTS FOR MINI BAR PURCHASES THEY DIDN'T USE WITH PROOF AND NO OPTON FOR DISCUSSION OR BELIEVE THE GUEST THIS WAS INCORRECT AND NEEDED TO BE RESOLVED.

"Another Lovely Stay"

This was our fourth stay at The Royce, the first since its elaborate renovation. The room is quiet and well appointed, the bed was ever-so-comfy and room service was very good. We love the location, in an established part of old-Melbourne, a short team ride from the CBD, so outside the hustle, but close enough to everything. Good cafes and walks close by. Great hotel!
